From a former ball boy, among the many include how much of an asshole and abusive KG is, that Bryant is pretty kind. The entire spurs team is humble...etc...look for the rest yourself.

"and Dirk kept dunking on us during practice,"
DA
How did the famous players treat you?
Most of the famous players treat you like you don't exist, notable exceptions were Lebron, Kobe, Dirk Nowitski, Grant Hill, and Amare, who all talked directly with us one way or another. Lebron gave me his headband after a game, Kobe greeted us before the game and gave us high fives after (the lakers won though) and Dirk kept dunking on us during practice, it was cool cuz he was Dirk though lol. And Amare was just awesome towards us all the time, definitely my fav player
Nicest was one of the Spurs assistant coaches tipping a ballboy. Meanest was Kevin Garnett yelling at us because we didn't pass a ball to him 2 seconds after he called for it. Funniest was when Eduardo Najera started talking smack to one of my friends (jokingly) about how he had better hops than him in front of everyone. Dumbest was when Kwame (on the lakers) tripped over his own foot while practicing layups.
That was actually a pretty good article or whatever the it was.
Never thought I'd hear the inside scoop from a friggin' ballboy.
Thanks Sook.
My next favorite after James and Bryant would have to prolly be Eduardo Najera, he was prolly the funniest person I met my entire time working there
haha I remember old eduardo
all the Spurs players were nice. (That being said I still hate them as a suns fan lol)
=]
There was honestly NO ONE with bad hygiene, everyone smelled just fine (players would get SO much from their teammates if they smelled bad). There were players who sweated alot though, noticeably Shaq; we actually had to reformat the way we mopped the floors once he was traded here.![]()
Good stuff Sook, thanks for the link.
Little surprised at Kobe and LeBron being nice guys. Wouldn't really expect it out of either of them.
Yea, it said Both were nice but especially Lebron since he talked to them on a normal level. Pretty cool he gave the guy his headband.
And now it's the opposing teams taking up right where the ballboys left off by mopping the foor with him.Shaq; we actually had to reformat the way we mopped the floors once he was traded here.
Kobe is a good guy?
Well, I would say yes if he didn't elbow the rivals, rape the girl in Colorado, cheat the wife/children/media, setup Daddy O', perform like MSP(Most Selfish Player in the world) and criticize the teammates...etc.
But he is polite to ball boys (kids that buy his shoes/merchandise)
And isn't that all that counts?
And KG being a total bas isn't surprising at all.
Good stuff. Thanks for the link.
No surprises here about Garnett... being the prick he's supposed to be...
Of course Kobe was nice to them, they didn't have moist holes that he could tear and scar them for life..
I love KG, definitely the most entertaining persona in the NBA..
I already knew that LeBron was a cool guy. I am shocked about KG, though.
yeah i'm really surprised about lebron. i mean the same guy who left a court without shaking a team's hand because he's a "winner" treats the little guy with respect? guess he just knows where those millions come from.
amare lost in a bet and wouldn't pay the ball boys.
are you kidding me?

He thinks that one of the perks of being a ball-boy is stealing from his employers. Maybe that's why he didn't get re-hired.
It's kinda amazing to know your mind hasn't got a spot for the Houston drafted in 02, who grew up in the same ty place you lived through childhood. And you know it doesn't have to do with Mexico, which seemed like the place you tried to wove yourself to.
very cool, thanks for the link sook
