AI's not gonna happen...Lakers are too smart to bring in that guy. He can't play without a bunch of shots in a game, and he's not getting that in purple and gold. Stack would be a good option...
Pau Gasol's Hamsting injury is still not healed, and Luke Walton will be sidelined for six weeks with a pinched nerve in his back. It would probably take Luke another 2-3 weeks to get back in basketball shape and to find his rhythm on the court. The Lakers will need a body to come off the bench until maybe sometime after the all-star break in February. Who should the Lakers pick up?
Los Angeles Times Lakers Blogger Brian Kamenetzky feels that 35 year-old Jerry Stackhouse would be a perfect fit for the defending champs.
"I would LOVE to be out there," Stackhouse said...
Kobe's got a gamesmanship about him, he knows how guys look at him in awe. I've seen several times when he came over to the bench where I was and would not say anything to anybody on the whole bench, but then he'd look at me and say, 'What up Stack?' So there's a respect there both ways, I believe."
Yesterday, Ken Berger from CBS Sports speculated on A.I going to the Lakers, "What if the stars aligned for Iverson and Kobe Bryant, who came into the league together and dueled famously in that All-Star rookie game, to go out together, too?"
"I'm not saying it's likely, or any more likely than another scenario that might present itself. But Iverson playing with Kobe and Ron Artest? Iverson being coached by Phil Jackson? Who among us wouldn't want to see that happen? Count me in. And in the meantime, don't hold your breath waiting for another team to make the same mistake Memphis made."
Personally, I'd like to see the Lakers pick up both players...But that's just my opinion...

so just speculation from a blog. great so nothing new here move along
Bring AI to the Lakers? Not sure that would work..I think an atomic bomb would go off lol.
yeah..AI wants too many shots and LA has too much talent to offer them to him. He needs to go to an "ok" team that doesn't mind his chucking nature.
A.I. would just have to change his mindset completely. Stackhouse would work for sure though.
I'd like to see Stack get a ring with the Lakers...if he went there.
So IF stackhouse came to the Lakers...would the Lakers give up any pieceS? If so who would the players be that the Lakers send out?
stack is unemployed. lakers just pay him minimum cash
lakers also have 13 players on their roster, so they won't have to cut anybody
Thanks..I didn't know he wasn't playing.
I love Stack but Stack is done....see the last 3 years of his career
Is there anything we can do so they both go to the Lakers?
No thanks to both. Especially Stack though. He's been done for a long time.
"send Fartmar and Sasha to D-League."
Luva you forgot Morrison.
please send AI, kill the lakers from the inside out....
"Kobe, Phil, I need more shots!"
"Phil, I need to start!"
"Bynum get out of the key so I can drive!"
Hire Stackhouse? Man, they must really be hurting for National Anthem singers in California.
Wait! You mean to actually play basketball?
If " house" played for the Lakers this year that would make this Lakers team about as hateable as Shaq's Lakers....
He has that same dumbass annoying face that Glenn Rice used to make back in the day with the Lakers...flashbacks...![]()
i agree with pauls931...Suns fans are experts with trades that go worng.
I actually think AI could work, and get rid of Fisher. Let AI start so he won't be such a little , and he's a huge improvement over Fisher even at his worst.
Fail,
Fail,
Fail
