They should just save energy on the defensive end by trying to mask 3-seconds and plop a big under the basket. Maybe if they do this they won't be asking for lay-up drills all game.
It could be presented that the Spurs loose offensive effectiveness at the end of games because of the defense they implement. (fatigue)
Perhaps implementing a little more motion offense would help do the same against opponents. As it appears now...opponents don't have to work as hard on half court defense against the Spurs thus allowing them fresher legs at the end of games.
And since it takes more energy to defend than to run an offensive play...just wondering if this would ever be tried against a team that is good at offense in order to weaken their potential at the end of games?

How about Defense...the best offense? In some cases.
Sure it is. It's the Spur's montra. And it's been doing OK in the early going. Not great...but it will come around IMO once we have a core of healthy key players.
But our half court offense doesn't lend it's self to making an opposing team to have to work very hard to defend. Actually...the Spurs often have to work harder than the opposing team's defense just to set up a shot. A good offensive scheme should be just the opposite. And...In some cases...that could make our defense better if the opposing team were to have to work a little harder on their defense as well.
