Things are really bad for the WNBA right now.
The Sacramento Monarchs folded on Friday, a shocking and disappointing development for the WNBA and one of its original eight franchises...

women's professional basketball
one of the stupidest ideas in all of sports
Women's sports aren't totally a bad idea. World Championship Mud Wrestling would be huge. Basketball, not so much
It's a shame for young girls and women that are looking for role models or simply interested in playing sports themselves, but the WNBA is a big fat failure. No one is really interested in the league, and it has cost tons of $$ to keep afloat this long. Unless it's for a friend, a family member, or a league where the women wear really skimpy uniforms, there's absolutely no reason for me to ever watch womens athletics. It's just an inferior product.
Anyone who disagrees with this... is either a woman or a virgin.
WNBA is a prime example of stupid feminism run amock
I wonder how many millions the Spurs have blown on the Silver Stars. They gotta be in the red just opening the ATT Center for home games, footing the utilities, the attendants, the crew . . . and they're pulling in a couple of thousand paid and giving away food and drink deals left and right?
The NBA is actually paying people to watch the WNBA. Imagine walking into the AT&T center for a Spurs game and not having to pay for a ticket and then getting a $20 bill as soon as you find your seats.
I am neither. The product is fantastic--it wasn't in 1998--but it is now. All they are missing is the dunks.
You're battling 1.000. I've yet to agree with you on anything. You like Pizza? I'm trying to find some common ground here.
