We need to make a statement and win by 20-30.
We need to make a statement and win by 20-30.
They have 6 players and are on a b2b with a couple of guys logging 48 last night. If the Spurs don't run away with this win they should be shot.
Agreed. Metaphorically speaking, of course.
or...... at least reprimanded severely...
Lets get them all in foul trouble.....![]()
and montae? ellis scored 37 pts last night with almost a triple double. hopefully he has tired himself out. looking for 3 in a row GSG
we just have to keep the tempo nice and slow and just bruise and cruise on em
The Spurs need to attack early and often. The Warriors don't have anyone inside other than Randolph to protect the rim.
Warriors Come out to Play-eee...![]()
It was a post I put in the forum a long time ago. It's written kind of as a warped version of the intro to classic Conan the Barbarian comics, mixed with Terry Pratchett's "Last Hero" description of his character, Cohen. I obviously subs uted a lot of the basketball reference. It was a ton longer when I first posted it.
Edit: and the picture is a Nazi-killin' Bear Jew, a nod to Inglorious Basterds and me being Jewish.

The Warriors played a classic matchup exploitation game against the Mavs last night circa 2006 playoffs. In 2006 Nellie knew no one could handle Baron Davis on offense and that blitzing Dirk once he puts the ball on the floor would force others to beat them. Last night they knew with the Mavs injuries to their forwards Marion and Howard the mavs would have to play most of the game with a Kidd-Terry-Barrea backcourt and that none of the would be able to stop Montae. Add in same defensive formula with Dirk and the end result was the same.
In the 4th Quarter something like 16 of the 21 points the warriors scored in half court sets were on Barrea. Luckily, with Parker and Hill the Spurs shouldn't have that same matchup disadvantage.
Spurs 117
Warriors 89
It should be an easy game, especially if they get them in foul trouble. Get a 20 point lead and then just cruise. I am hoping the team shows some early energy and a willingness to put them away quick.
There is going to be a meltdown of epic proportions if the Spurs don't win. 3 players for the Warriors played 48 minutes yesterday. Monta Ellis was grimacing because of cramps during the final moments of the game during a timeout on the bench. Technically, just close out Radmanovich, if he even has any legs, as he can shoot well. Anthony Morrow hit 6 of 8 threes, same thing here. Mikki Moore is useless. Parker better show why he called himself a good defender against Ellis or Curry.
parker was pretty decent against jennings on D no?
Team defense stopped Jennings. Not really Parker. Jennings always looked to defer in the 1st half, then take over when needed. In the 2nd half, the lead got very big and Pop took the starters out.
ok but you are always pretty harsh with him give him some litle credit once in a while.
I'm just saying he was awful in this game but at least he made a good effort to defend speedy jennings
The reason I am harsh with him is because I know he can do it but he almost never shows he can. Once in a while, maybe.
Guys, I know I helped some of you watch the Spurs-Bucks game so can you please do me a favor? You know....
be kind with tp and I'll see what I can do for u![]()
I will try. He is our best offensive player but defense comes first, you know what I mean.
Looking for TD and McDyess to be fed in the paint against a small lineup!
