For my wife really, but hopefully she will let me drive it.

2006 Infiniti FX35. Got a pretty good deal on it, very low milage and the thing is fun as to drive.

I love getting new cars! Now to think about trading in my Tahoe!

What's a good deal and where did you buy it?

I love the Tahoe, but i dont drive it often, or i would need a second job to pay for the gas. It is my 4x4, Leather seat, comfortable boat pulling machine...

The Infiniti is our new daily driver i guess.

We got it at Carmax. Selling price was $24,595. I love dealing with carmax because they make everything so easy, and their website is awesome when searching for the right car...they ahve stores nationwide that they will xfer cars from, if you find one you like somewhere else.

We narrowed it down to an Infinity M35 in Houston, and this FX here. We drove a similar M here yesterday, and although it was bad ass, this was just more of what my wife wanted.

Got the daughter a slightly used ( 7K miles) Toyota Rav4 last week. It's a nice little rig.

Rav4's are great vehicles. I sold Toyota's for a while, in between jobs a while back. I wuold highly reccomend them to anyone. Kind of pricey for what you get, but the safety and reliability is unmatched in that vehicle class.

prob with buying used is you never know the "whole history" sure they inspect but that won't really catch all potential probs.

But sometimes the deals out weight that. Such as in your case. Enjoy the ride.

I buy virtually everything slightly used but still in warranty and have literally saved tens of thousands over the years...

I've always liked Murano's, which this pretty much is except for the bells 'n whistles, name, and higher price tag.

I agree i liked the Muranos too...until you test drive a Murano, side by side with an FX, you wont understand the difference.

The FX feels and sounds like a highly tuned sports car, not to mention the amenities inside are just fantastic, even at the base model. The Murano just feels sorta plain in comparison.

We looked at Muranos pretty closely before deciding this was right where we wanted to be.

    Katy,

I was at the Austin Infiniti showroom a few days before Thanksgiving and they had a pretty good selection of used FX, M, & G's. Even a couple of the smaller, newer EXs. All varying mileage. Great customer service and prices that aren't spectacular, but aren't over the top either. There were quite a few so there might be a deal to be made...

I absolutely LOOOOVE my Rav 4. It's roomy enough but drives like a car, and does a great job on slick roads.

A buddy of mine had 06 FX35 AWD. I thought it was nice. His only complaints was the gas mileage & didn't drive that great in snow for all wheel drive. 16 city 21 highway. He told me he got mostly 17 & 18 mpg. He just traded it in on a 09 Trailblazer.

The AWD version has a V8 in it, where the 2wd has the v6, so i think we will do a bit better in gas. It isnt a great fuel efficient machine, but it makes up for it in other areas.

I couldnt imagine anyone actually wanting to own a trailblazer, but the new Chevy Equinox is pretty damn nice. We looked long and hard at a brand new equinox that was fully loaded. It is cheap for what you get. Fully loaded with AWD, Nav, Leather, Towing, etc etc etc..basically every thing you can get is under 30k.
