Trade works...But is it possible??? Probably not. But I think all 3 teams win if this was actually to happen.

    Thoughts??

I wouldnt say raped..But they have China on their back and basically got rid of 2 players that had a 0% chance of re-signing.

Kamanm,Griffin, and Yi off the bench aint a bad rotation for bigs

Clippers want to get rid of Kaman before anyone else since Camby is expiring, and I think they like Thornton.

I don't think he is going to get that big of an offer from another team but it is the Clippers so he will probably leave. That being said he is very talented and I think they will try and keep him.

RJ is a Spur for 3 more years. Nobody is going to be willing to take on his contract. Our best hope for getting somebody close to RJ's numbers in stats, experience and salary that actually would fit in this system has been traded to the Bobcats.

Otherwise...give it time to see how he will develop. I remember Horry having a horrible first year as a Spur. Then being instumental in helping the team win another championship.

Even if somebody wanted to take RJ's bad contract, why the would we take Al Thornton?..he's one of the worst defenders in the NBA, and he's a cancer on the court..

Agreed. Spurs don't want Al Thornton.

Thornton's one of those guys that I think just plays for the money. He doesn't work on his game and is still the same skill level he was as a rookie.

unfortunately no gm of the 3 teams would be so dumb as you to get this deal done, or at least Clippers GM is definitely not re ed enough to make it true. I mean for what insane ing reason should the Clippers trade an expiring contract plus a talented youngster for two pieces of ?

NOBODY will take RJ off the spurs hands. NOBODY other than the spurs wanted him in the first place. The spurs are stuck with him for the duration.

All other reasons aside, the proposed trade would never be considered by NJ. They have shed a series of big contracts to put themselves in position to go after a big name FA in 2010. They're not putting RJ's 15M salary back on the books for next summer.

Nobody seemed to notice that Pierce had his worst night of the season. 8 pts on 2-9 shooting, with only 2 rebounds, zero assists, and three turnovers.
