    Was the officiating bad tonight?
On the final play there was the most obvious over and back call I have seen in my life and he was staring right ing at it. Yet no call
    Needs a pair of these:

Still Mavs played ing horrible and probably didnt deserve the win.
But the Hawks played pretty damn bad themselves so.....

I was at the game. The officiating was awful. The Mavs lost the game themselves, but just a horribly-called game. I don't think either team would disagree.

I turned on the Mavs game right after the Marion play happened, so I didn't see the whole thing..how much time was left when it happened?..I thought Marion was too aggressive going after that ball, probably should have just forced the Hawks player to touch it for the backcourt violation..

Depending on how much time was left though, it might not have been enough..how much time was left?..

Like 10 seconds I think. Mavs were down 5 I think.

On replays, it looked like both players touched the ball simultaneously.

Marion should have just let it go, it would have been an easy over and back/back court violation.

We were down by three when it happened. And if Marion let it go a few more seconds might burn off the clock.

FSN showed a view on the replay and you can see the Horford touched it fist. Terrible call, but I'm not blaming the refs for this loss, thats on Rick mostly. Wtf is he thinking.

If they called it correctly, the Mavs could've advanced it with 1.5 seconds left. Mavs didn't play well and can only blame themselves, but it would've been nice to get that call right.

I have a feeling the mavs are banged up right now as well. Dirk and Marion don't seem too active and look like they are in pain at times in this game. Dirk grabbing his back and Marion partially limping.

We're all praying Josh Howard returns soon from his career-threatening minor ankle surgery THAT'S TAKING HIM 7 ING MONTHS TO RECOVER FROM. Girl Scouts heal quicker.

In fact, let's place bets - who returns to the court quicker? Greg Oden or Josh Howard?

The Mavs have been a bit of an anomaly. They need to get healthy and they need to figure out what to do with Howard. They have played well overall despite the issues, but in order to take that next step they need to be consistent and get the all of the pieces together, whatever they may be.
