Agreed. UT's gonna roll.
Alerbama just won their Super Bowl. Beating Florida was the pinnacle of their season. Emotionally, spiritually and revengedly it's all downhill from here. The singular goal in the entire state was to beat the Tebows in the SEC championship game. They built their team to do that. And they did it. Prohps.
We, on the other hand, faced the ultimate trap game. Nsuhbraska is a gritty, gutty, hearty, country strong team with plenty of huthle and muthle. They ain't good but they'll chase you through the corn field and muddle up a game. Their team is throwback to when only white people were allowed to play college football and they did so without face masks and with a playbook as thick as the instructional pamphlet Reggie Bush wrote about successfully lateraling in big games. It's not really about winning against Nsuhbraska, it's just not losing. The score is gravy. We know this. It's like Spurs vs. Sprockets. They could have Francis and Mobley as the franchise couple and the score is still going to be 78-76 regardless.
In the Chahampionship game, Alerbama can't possibly be as high as they were against the Tebows. Their hype level is going to be like Urban Meyer's hydration level after Tebow cried. Texas will be peaking in regard to the flowing of juice. They'll be ready to ride the ship of gamesman. Alerbama fan has already constructed YouTubes of their successful season. The Walmart shopping spree has already taken place. The SEC championship banners are scattered gently across parks of trailers and other assorted house-like abodes throughout the state.
We are going to strike first. Then Alerbama will kick a field goal or two while the announcers talk about the greatness of the game they are witnessing. We will score again at the end of the half. Halftime will include talking about Alerbama's pending eruption. But we will come out and score again. Alerbama will get a touchdown to seduce hope but we will then close the door. The final eight or nine minutes will be a formality and the commentators will commentate on the comment that Colt McCoy is prehaps one of the best college football players of allllllll tiiiime.
Speheaking of Colt, this sets up perfectly. He has a smidgen of sissy in his makeup but having four months off until The Game will let him clear his webs of cob. Compared to Tebow, he's going to look like Joe Montana to Alerbama's defense. They are going to audibly gasp when they face a QB that can make more than one read on a pass play. His arm strength may have a bit too much ruth but it will find the open man -- even if it travels only a wind-aided 38 MPH. More often than not the open man will be his roommate of choice, one Jordan Shhahiplay. Shhahiplay is like the love child between Stephen Jackson and Steve Kerr. If Colt starts getting flustered, he'll just sling it out and Shhahiplay will do the rest and restore his equestrian roommate's lack of fear and/or loathing.
Bottomline is that Alerbama was built to beat Florida while Dem Texas Boyz was built to win dis ish.

Cody is every bit as good as Suh is. And he's probably got the nation's best linebacker behind him.
McClain's a beast. But Cody's the 3rd best DT behind Suh and McCoy.
This is bush league by timvp's usual standards.

I may not suckle at the man-teats of college kids who decide to play ball in Austin on a year-round basis ... and for that, I apologize. However, in this scenario, considering the facts and forthcoming romp, my allegiance definitely wears a slightly darker than usual shade of orange. The reasons are many, although one reason should be obvious to those Spurs fans who perused the internet in the dark ages prior to Manu Ginobili's arrival.

this game is no lock for texas at all. the tide has a defense every bit as good as the huskers and they will just dare the horns to run the ball on them. offensively, the tide is better than the huskers as well and they will look to run the ball on ut's defense with the same success a&m had running the ball on them.
ut has the better special teams and if it comes to that they will have the edge but this game will not be a rout.

I wouldn't say all that. Bammer has the best or second best return guy in the nation. Javier Arenas is about the last guy you want returning kicks against you.
i was not aware of that. but beyond that how is bama's punter or place kicker? just wondering should it come down to a game of field position or a field goal or two.
Rumor has it DJ Monroe might be back by the big game..if that's the case, Arenas is the 2nd to last guy you want returning kicks against you.
No offense to the legions of longhorn faithful on this site but... Bama is going to roll you guys. They have faced much stiffer compe ion all year long. They just dominated the #1 team in the nation while you guys squeaked out a win against a mediocre Nebraska team. Don't get me wrong, I'll be rooting for you guys because I can't stand those rednecks. I just don't see it happening.
