I saw one yesterday!! Running down the street in a subdivision off 281/Evans. My son spotted it and we followed it, some people came out of their house to see it. I think I heard the Cuero one turned out to be a mangy coyote? This one didn't have as long a snout as the one in the photos, it looked more like a dingo than a coyote. It had short gray fur, and it's tail was really skinny like a string. It didn't have those fangs either. And it kind of hopped when it ran, real strange. Of course, my son was fumbling around with his phione and couldn't get a pic/video. I was driving and trying to take pics and got some very poor quality ones Here are some photos of the Cuero one:

My best pic is most like the top right one here. I'm going to try to blow it up and crop it, for a comparison; but I'm rather technically challenged.

It's a myth. These animals are just Coyotes with mange, which is a skin disease.

I know about the mange thing and all, but what surprised me about this little guy I saw was that he was not bald and his fur wasn't "patchy"; it covered his whole body evenly. But overall he appeared quite sickly. There are so many coyotes out by where I live and I don't like the idea that there could be so many sick ones around.
