So I have a number of songs on my PC....and I want to make a CD- with MP3 files. My truck plays MP3's but don't know how to burn one. I've tried burning files/folders as data but to no avail.

    Anyone know how?

I played a MP3 cd in my truck a few days ago and it worked...the disc had like 170 songs! That would rock!

    Anyone???

d/l musicmatch jukebox it will convert for free or do a google search for "free wav to mp3 converter"! It's very easy to do. Windows Media 10.0 works also, just insert cd in cdrom open windows media player select rip, after ripping you can burn!!!

You need the software that will convert the songs. I use Nero.

I have Windows Media 10.0. That is what I always use. I have ripped them but they aren't MP3, they are in WAV files.

Don't use Windows Media player. It sucks. Do a Google search for free MP3 rippers. Or you can also search www.download.com . It's full of free software for ripping cds.

CDex is a great program. It's got a free license, so you won't have to pay anything, and you can rip all of your cds. It will organize them into folders based on artist name and cd name.

    It's pretty great.

I used to use CDParanoia on Linux, but now that I've switched back to windows it's back to CDex (I have to be able to play Live 2005 as the playoffs approach... sorry, ducks).

BTW, XP Pro is a piece of . I've had it crash 3 times this past week while I never had a crash in Padrote Linux in 4 months. Every few days I'd have to restart X, but overall my Linux was so much more stable. God I wish ATI would write a good driver and I wish EA would make UNIX-compatible binaries also like ID Software does.
