Frontline: Breaking the Bank

Great episode. Does a quick behind the scene story of what was going on in the early bank crisis. What I find really disturbing is
1. paulson and bernanke took the congress seniors in a room and tell them without 700 billion, america would be wiped out in days.
2.paulson taking the " ans of the finance world" and making them sign a statement saying they would take the tarp and they would give the federal government rights to the banks. They even threatened the bank heads and, unapologetically written in his notes, have the regulators shut the banks down if they didn't agree. He also said he would talk about the bank in a negative light if they didn't agree.
3. Also in the beginning when paulson locked the door and tried to make someone buy lehman bro.

I may be naive but I never knew or thought our banks would be nationalized.
