The fault I noticed with Brooks late in that game is he doesn't want to go thru the protocol, the different steps it takes to close a game. He wants to cut in line, cheat the house, press the triple in order to jaywalk. It's a bad habit.
It is a well established fact that Brooks prefers to dribble over passing to an open Yao in the post.

Perhaps our starting point guard should be able to pass to our franchise/cash cow center, dumbass.
If Chris Paul could pass to stone hands Okafor; I don't see how we can't find a point guard (ie not Brooks) who can pass Yao the ball perfectly (No, dumb s, I am not saying that our starting point guard should have CP3's vision or scoring ability).

Funny how Brooks gets 10 assists when he Budinger starts, so he gets a wing that can finish.
Lowry is a very good backup, but his shot has been borderline Raferish.....
I am glad he is our backup....we need him....and the only way he ever gets to be a starter is if he learns to shoot.
