He'll only play about 7-10 minutes for the next four to six games or so. Then, they will evaluate him again and increase his minutes from there. He's looking pretty damn good in the game though (aside from last night's 1-5 from the field).
Is he going to freaking play? I got him on my fantasy team the minute I heard he played his first game this season.
Houston fans, is Adelman going to keep playing him 7 minutes a game to shop him? Or is he going to actually start playing?
I want to drop him really bad, but I am worried that he will return to form right when I do that.

Well with Chase and Landry out with an injury, he MIGHT MIGHT MIGHT play more minutes. If he doesn't then the wear and tear on Ariza will become too much for him to handle, he played 47 minutes last night!
Basically, Adelman should play T-mac some more, but if he doesn't, then I am fully convinced that the Rockets are trying to trade McGrady.
Or trying to prevent him from injury...
Webber said it best. He came back in six months from the same surgery McGrady had and started playing 30 minutes per game. Adelman has learned his lesson and even after just ten months, he is taking it slow with McGrady and not risking anything.
Stout post, Black. Fresh materiel.
He has to go now since Budinger sprained his ankle in the OKC game.
Lets say Rockets want to keep him. How long do you think Adelman keeps playing him 7 mpg?
You would think he would slowly bump it up to 8 or 9 or something like that.
Pacers are playing safe also with Dunleavy 20 - 22 min a game and he is very good in those 20 min I guess it will continue that way. For T-Mac same process even slower.
but they will definately need him now. Too many injuries on the Rockets. There is even talk of a callup from the D-League to bring in Mike Harris.
He is slow, and his game doesn't fit.......
Right now, he is not even in the top 3 of Rockets wings.....but with injuries he might get an increase in minutes.
I still believe they will trade him, at least I hope so....

T-Mac needs to get his timing and his shot back but he'll be ok. I'd be for trading volume ball shooting and ball bricking Ariza away before T-Mac.
I guess you missed when Morey said himself that Ariza was signed just for his defense alone, anything else that comes with it is just gravy on top
