The above is a link to an article with what is supposed to be embarrassing MMA happenings, but I find it hard, erm - I mean difficult, to believe that their #1 pick is the most embarrassing moment in 2009.

EDIT: I believe someone here made a comment about Alabama's celebrity MMA fights being freak show MMA. Needless to say I will NEVER attend a fight in that ridiculous state after reading that amputee story.

I would say either Horodecki getting KOed by a shin to the face while running away or Sean Salmon admitting that he essentially threw a match by feeding his opponent the armbar.

I always root for the weaker baby faced fighters for some reason, but when I saw him running away expecting to get a "reset" midway through the round I was hoping he'd turn into a punch or kick. He got KTFO and an ugly black eye as a reminder.
