    Although we fans may be anxious, its great that the Spurs have until Wednesday to wait for Game 2, not only to rehabilitate some banged up guys, but also to stew over this tough loss. Maybe a little soul searching and plenty of time to allow the team and coaching staff to make adjustments to ensure that ridiculously inexcusable scoring droughts and stupid turnovers late in first halves do not happen again at home in these playoffs.

    In light of the "Great Letdown", there are some positives:

    1. With each day that passes, presumably, the team becomes closer to being whole again;

    2. Parker and Duncan cannot possibly play any worse at home or on the road in the clutch than they did during Game 1;

    3. The Nuggets admittedly gave the Spurs their best shot;

    4. The Spurs have been down this road before, as they were when they split at home with Phoenix, Dallas and New Jersey in 2003;

    5. The Spurs will be angry and we fans will see what they are truly made of. Having said that, if they lose on Wednesday, then Denver simply deserves it and is the better team right now, injuries, ankles sprains and al other excuses out the window. Thus, we'd be able to accept fate;

    6. Regardless of what some might say about winning in Denver...its Denver. And there's not exactly a years-long established mystique about playing there. Yes, the Nuggets are hot at home, yes there is an al ude issue, but the battle-tested veteran Spurs can win on any floor on any given night. If you've done battle with Shaq and Kobe, among others, deep into the playoffs for years and years, no venue is too tough for your team;

    7. Response to adversity. The Spurs usually rebound and focus after a tough playoff loss (excluding last year's run in with the Lakers...but that was the juggernaut Lakers with Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant). I especially am looking for Tim Duncan and Tony Parker to answer the bell and for the rest of the team to slow down play;

    8; The Spurs left us with holes in our stomach's in both 1999 when they lost at home to Minnesota...in a five game first round series, and three times in 2003 in route to a championship. As previously stated, the Spurs have been there and done that;

    9. There's nothing like a good home playoff loss early in a series to get the fanbase fired up. Its moments like these which define why we care about our team and sense of community;

    10. Feel free to add your own thoughts...

    13. I'm positive, with TD at 50%, no Rasho, no Brown, the Nuggets are better than the Spurs. It will take extraordinary performances by the rest of the team to win this series.

    Damn right...EVERYONE needs to step up, because the Spurs lost last night, but Denver didn't have a great game either...I mean, they weren't scoring much either in the 4th...they just got lucky that we sucked major ass that last quarter.

    We lost to a team that didn't have a great performance either.

    Whottt, you gotta come clean and admit that Nazr showed as much heart last night as I've ever seen Rose display in a playoff game. I remember you questioning whether he could ever live up to Malik's desire.

    I know he impressed me last night.

    Too bad Pop is such a dumbass that Nazr may not ever have seen the court in the playoffs if not for injury. After seeing Pop's shortcomings close up again last night vis-a-vis in game adjustments I admit I've been entertaining more and more thoughts about just what Phil Jackson could do with this team.

    We were only in this game because Nazr and Manu both had big games...but they don't have big games every day...Manu is not that consistent in terms of scoring contributing roughly the same every night.

    We better hope that other players help next game, we NEED Parker's early energy, and we need to FINISH the game the right way, instead of missing every damn shot.

    Hey, I just thought about something.

    The Spurs have lost 5 straight playoff games...first time that has happened in a while.

    It's unfortunate that Nazr couldn't be the beast this season that I'm planning on him being next season, but Nazr definately brought it last night. Mad props to Nazr. I don't see how Malik could've surpassed his game tonight. That's for sure.

    And seeing Nazr play the way he has right now is really getting me excited about his potential next season and beyond. The only thing he's missing right now is his defensive positioning and getting quicker on his rotations. That's been killing us at times, but it certainly wasn't the reason why we lost game 1.

    As for the Nuggests, I'm still not worried about the series. I think the Nuggets shook the out of the luck tree last night and they barely won. They were getting calls, getting prayers answered, getting turnovers, and got the worst shooting performance in the fourth quarter by the spurs all season, yet they barely won.

    They can't beat us if we take care of the ball and attack the hole. We didn't do much of that last night. In my opinion, the nuggets looked satisfied after last night's game, and appear ripe for a victory in Game 2. Big mistake on their part if that happens. You always have to win two road games minimum if you're not the team with homecourt advantage. I really beleive the Nuggets think they'll hold serve at home and slack on game 2. If so, I can easily see us win the next two games.

    Nazr's statistical production last night > what Malik would have given us.

    He impressed me too with his intensity...he was by far the best player on our team last night...

    And you are right he showed me desire...but I never questioned his tougness or his fearlessness..

    But our chemistry has changed and for all that his o boards and dunks help us...hes out of position on D quite a bit...I think he'll be huge next season for us...I think he'll you'll see the impact of his numbers translate to team success...next season. I don't think you'll see it this season. And our chemistry is different...although, it's not like we never choked with Malik.

    One thing is for sure...if Phil Jackson was the coach of this team it would never lack confidence...

    But he won't be the coach of this team because he's too expensive...on top o that he's an asshole..

    Pop is pissing me off but I can't honestly say I know for certain anyone other than Jackson would do a better job...Pop is the second worst coach in the NBA...next to anyone else

    But Pop's shortcomings on the offensive side of the ball and his slowness to make adjustments are keeping the talent he's assembled from reaching it's potential.

    It sucks and my hopes for a le are very dim right now.
