Why was there so much hype around this movie? It was pretty average.
The Japanese version or the American one? I heard they were making an American one like they do for all Japanese films, but I don't know if that's the one you're refering to.
I thought it was a damn good movie. Not the best but pretty good..and I heard it was pretty controversial when it came out, cause it was kids killing each other.
The Japanese one with English sub les. I mean, it was alright. Maybe I just wasn't into watching a movie that day. I've never been into movies like this, though. I also hated Kill Bill.
Someone gave me the book a while back and I really struggled to get through it. Maybe something was lost in translation? It'd be tough to make a 2 hour movie out of it - I seem to remember it was pretty good sized.
just watched this movie again. AWESOME!!!!!
I guess just the time period it was released in. Exorcist was pretty huge when that was released but if you watch it now, you know how ass it is

BR was good in my opinion. the 2nd one sucked.
Ichi the Killer was lame.
The movie only came out about 10 or so years ago.
I enjoyed it a lot more on Blu Ray tbh.
I preordered it on bluray having not seen it but heard about it. Pleasantly surprised how good it was. Heard the sequel was crap though.
