She's getting the dogs my poker lifestyle does not suit well for being a responsible pet owner. Ths will bE tough after 11 years but in the end it was my poor decisions much earlier in the relationship that brought this on. We mutually decided we shouldn't get married because of her inability to get over those things and continuously bring the back up even when our relationship seemed to be going smoothly. I can't blame her but I have no desire to be punished for the rest of my life over those incidents.
A fresh slate sounds really appealing but scary at the same time. But it's time. We both fought to make it work for perhaps too long before we came to this decision.

Good for you dude. Most people try to work it out and beat themselves up over that . You don't want to be in a relationship where you are constantly waiting for that booby trap. Whatever you did in the past if she didn't agree with it she should have ended it then. IMO your relationship went on for 10 years too long or whenever it was that you boned another chick.
I think you both made the right, and very mature, decision.

If you go on weekdays, the hotels are ridiculously cheap. When I was there in August, my room at the Imperial Palace, right on the strip and across the street from Caesar's Palace, was like $22 a night or something and considering the stay there got me buy one get one free Penn & Teller tickets, it worked out to practically nothing.
