Litltle or no remaining angst today. Confidence >>> on this side. IMO: Denver got calls and Spurs played worst conceivable end-game both halfs and still were in it.

    Blow out by Spurs coming.

    "Blow out by Spurs coming."

Nothing less than humiliation of Nuggets will set the proper "We're back and we're pissed off" tone for going to Denver.

The worst would be a loss (0-2, series over).

The next worse would be a hard-fought, close game that Spurs barely win at the very end, convincing the Nuggets they can take Games 3 and 4 @DEN, and they would be very encouraged about taking the Spurs again in Games 5 and 7 @SBC.

We need a blow-out, Nuggets blood on the floor, Nuggets carried to the plane home on stretchers.

I think it's pretty safe to say a much different Spurs team will show up tommorow. They know what needs to get done and will do WHATEVER it takes to do it.. If that includes seeing nugget players strewn all over the floor covered in blood SO BE IT.. This is WAR.

I can't say as I feel supremely confident about tomorrow night, but I do feel like the signs are there to find some confidence that things will get better. I thought most of the Spurs many, many mistakes on Sunday night were correctable by either an at ude adjustment or by a few tweaks here and there. I keep reminding myself that the Spurs were able to get the lead and sustain it for long stretches (and even, on a couple of occasions to stretch it). They defensive intensity must improve and they have to find a willingness to attack the rim, even if the shotblockers are there. They also need to push back a little bit. Get a little nasty on some screens, get solid on the glass, things like that.

I don't think they necessarily need a blow out to send the proper message in the series, but a win is essential. With some adjustments, it's there for them.

I expect a solid 48 minutes out of the Spurs and a 15 point win. They just spent 2 1/2 hours watching game tape frame by frame with Pop doing some serious ass chewing. They will do anything to avoid that experience again...

    spurs win but not definitively

I have confidence there will be more passion on the spurs side of the ball but they will play scared in the 4th again and squeak out a victory.

Not until Spurs regain HCA will they pick up the necessary swagger and killer instinct.

If another dry spell occurs on Wed, expect Pop to rapidly cycle through his whole bench (which could be equally detrimental by not allowing the players to get into a groove).

I agree with the first 3 posts. I was in serious panic mode Sunday night. But the Spurs are going to come out angry and smarter and desperate. I'm not sure Coliseum-style hand-to-hand combat is necessary but I definitely expect them to step up the physicality of their game and give back some of what they took in game one.

I think we can safely say the Spurs won't go ten straight minutes without a field goal on Wednesday.

However, I can't say I'm as confident that Duncan will be any more effective than he was on Sunday. I also expect Carmelo Anthony to have a better game (though probably offset by a less stunning performance by Miller). And given that George Karl is one of the best in the game, I expect them to be as prepared, if not better prepared, for any of our adjustments than we will be for theirs.

I've seen this team respond too many times to adversity, deal with it, and find a way to win in the end. There is no way I'm going to blow chunks after losing one damn game to the Nuggets. I'll give the Nuggets their due, they came in and didn't play scared, but now the Spurs have seen what they're up against and they WILL take it to another level come Wendnesday night.

    respect the 'fro

Biggest blowout in franchise history coming up in 4th Q, before garbage time.

I am looking for the Spurs to be up at least 37 pts at some point.

I'm of course very nervous as I am before all Spurs games.

But I believe in my silver and black heart we will win. We have too.

We need a ten point + victory to show the Nuggets that we are in control. If we do that, our confidence will go up and there's down. Games 2 and 3 , IMO, make this series.

True dat, I had a dream about it. Spurs will BLOW OUT the Nuggets. Passion, commitment, and loyalty to the city of San Antonio will be motivation and the Spurs needed the past wakeup call.
