The crew for the Spurs Nuggets game 1 was David Jones, Bill Spooner and Eddie F. Rush. David Jones was particularly annoying (ex. the Camby steal of Beno's muffed behind the back dribble before the half and the "brush/run-by" foul call on Horry).
But then again they don't think its one sided, very few either way
"Quentin Richardson arrived at the arena just after 3 p.m. Sunday and began noticing something about all the playoff games he had watched. "I was like, 'They ain't calling no fouls,' " Richardson said. "Tim Duncan was getting held and they weren't calling it. As everybody trickled in, I told them what I saw and Bo (Outlaw) said: 'They ain't giving us nothing. We've got to play through it.'" Arizona Republic

I've noticed they haven't been calling the fouls they usualy would have in the reg. season. I wanna see how they call the Seatle game, those Seatle big mofos are some dirty ass thugs... and I bet the first one to is gonna be Rayray![]()
David Jones was also involved in the late season decision at 1.4 seconds.
It was annoying on BOTH sides guys.
I think I'm gonna beat David Jones to a pulp. Or throw a banana peel in front of him when he runs by me on the court. Maybe I'll go Larry David and trip his sorry ass if I can get some courtside seats.
That Travelling violation that they didnt call at the end of the game, really ticked me off. We were still in it at that point. Other then that, I hate complaining about officiating, cuz it is just a cop out in (sp?) my opinion.
i would love nothing more than a fair called game on both ends.
SasSpurs21_1999, yep, you spelled "in" correctly.![]()
Stern/ESPN/TNT/Nike/ABC/Walton says no!
well, I noticed how one sided the calls were on Sunday. Especially how they allowed the Denver defenders to hold Timmy repeatly in the post without foul calls. Denver was going to the line a lot during the third quarter for a lot less contact that what was occuring on the spurs side. I was really pissed that the spurs didn't start getting really physical and dish out a few hard fouls to force the refs to call the game tighter and gain control.
I'd like to think the calls evened out in that game but I doubt it. I was surprised they didn't call a technical on Kenyon Martin for double hand slapping the backboard after pulling himself up off the rim. If that ain't a tech, I don't know what is. I remember earlier in the season when they called Rasheed Wallace for hanging too long on the rim against the spurs and I didn't even think that was close to being a tech. The traveling no-call was definately frustrating. Especially after they called TP for traveling when he dragged his pivot foot under the rim.
I was watching the Suns Griz game and I made the comment in the final minute of the first half that only 7 fouls had been called in total against both teams. But then I had to follow it up by saying that the Suns don't play defense so its not really that hard to believe.
I never understood one thing though. Why do commentators always say that the team that plays the most aggressive is usually the one that doesn't get called for as many fouls. To me it would seem that it would be the opposite.
hey man I saw u get banned from spursreport though I tried to defend you.
glad to see u found a better place

Its been like this for quite a while now. The home refs are AWFUL. It isn't why we are losing but they have just been flat out sucky. Some people could have thought we were playing in Denver
Bring in the Crawfords...!
Q is just sucking up so SA would go easy on his pathetic Suns team. Sorry Q, you'll have all time practicing that headpound in May.
Refs may not have been biased but they were bad.
Another call that may have turned game. End of half, Manu driving, Denver player to me flopped and was not set, = offensive foul. Ball to Denver, Miller miracle shot = 5 point swing.
I tell it how it is and the refs sucked. They have been pretty bad at home lately. They aren't perfect, but some of the calls and no calls are absurd.
Exactly, Marcus Camby.End of half, Manu driving, Denver player to me flopped and was not set, = offensive foul. Ball to Denver, Miller miracle shot = 5 point swing
He literally jumps in front of Ginobili and gets the call.
But they get no respect....
exactly
hey! is this allowed?
![]()
this is practically ridiculous![]()
why is it allowed???
Duh, the Nuggets are "Fun"
Plus you got the gangsta Anthony so you gotta keep up the great NBA image.
Spare the conspiracy theories. The more aggressive team has gotten the calls in the playoffs since the beginning of time.
Spurs need to quit playing soft.
Yikes.
I'll agree with you that the officials missed some calls against the Spurs the other night. There was no foul on the Camby dunk. Duncan was held more than once without a call.
But there were calls and plays that went your way too. Melo was hammered multiple times without a call. (as he usually is, not only by the Spurs but the rest of the NBA as well) KMart was also mugged more than once in the lane with no call coming his way. And a couple of the calls Ginobili got was an absolute joke.
I thought the refs were pretty bad, but I thought they were bad on both sides.
