I'm a Romo hater but the game was just as much the O-line's fault today.
yes
no
* First let it be said that I am honestly not trying to stir up. This is a serious question that needs serious answers *
sons as I watched Romo lead his Cowboys to yet ANOTHER playoff beat down I couldn't help but think of his history that is full of failures and very few accomplishments. Now sure the guy will put up respectable numbers during the regular season, but when the playoffs role around he has done nothing but choke. Despite the fact that Romo has only been in the NFL for 7 seasons, I think that he is on a steady pace at becoming one of, if not the biggest choke artist in NFL history. It wouldn't be nearly as bad if he wasn't hyped up as much as he is. From day one his ass has been kissed and he was awarded a huge 6 year contract without ever truly earning it.
In my opinion Tony Romo is a good regular season quarterback (good at best), but a ridiculously HUGE choke artist whenever the playoffs role around. I was so confident in the Cowboys getting beat down today because Romo is their starting QB, that I just won a $1,000 bet thanks to his suckassness. your thoughts?
I'm a Romo hater but the game was just as much the O-line's fault today.
son this isn't just about today's game ... go look at his history.
Today was a choke job by Romo?
The Cowboys just got their ass beat in every phase of the game. They could hardly even take a kickoff past their own 15 yard line. Don't know how anybody could say Romo choked the game away.
It's collective choking from their team, he's surrounded by receivers like Williams and Crayton who up at the wrong time.
ing stupid. You do know Minnesota was favored, right? You can't choke when you're not favored to win. This game was on the O-Line and Garrett. Minnesota had a great game, and we couldn't match it.
No, but you're on pace to become the most legendary wigger this forum has ever seen.
He choked in the Seattle game, but he would have beaten the Giants if Patrick Crayton doesn't make two historically bad plays.
Romo can be a choker but so can Peyton Manning and Tom Brady and.....oh yeah Drew Brees. They've all choked.
Dallas needs a new coach, new QB and a new owner....probably a new GM too.
I dont think it's accurate to say Romo choked, but he definitely didn't play well. But for someone to say he's some world renowned choker is comical. Being completely honest, Romo has to take care of the ball. He has to call hot routes and hit the 5 yard slant when he knows the O-line wont hold up (which was every other snap). Tuck that or get rid of it. To say he the bed is not inaccurate.
And the Cowboys were not beat in every phase of the game until it was too late anyway. You can't expect the defense to keep holding the Vikings when they are continually given a short field. The turnovers are what lost this game. Plain and simple.
The Cowboys played okay in the first quarter, after that I didn't see anything impressive from them in any facet of the game.
sons soft ass reggie bush is gonna get his ass torn apart by jared allen
Romo is not responsible for how poorly his line blocks for him. Seven sacks, and more than 15 hits? You're reaching. Reaching, or a complete moron.
I agree completely. The Vikings played a patient, conservative game and were frankly the better team in every phase. The game was closer than the score for a while but the Vikings didn't make mistakes, played great field position and took advantage of their opportunities. They just wore the Cowboys down, and they had Romo hearing footsteps before Flozell went out.
ah there we go. I was waiting for the typical excuse ... "its not our good, ole white boy's fault! no one blocks for him!"
The Vikings are a better team, but old red balls certainly didn't help. Didn't take advantage of the LBs enough. Not enough passes to the TEs, and not enough runs to the outside. Of course, they did run outside, but they used their slowest back with a gimped knee who sucks tremendously at anything but between the tackles running. Wade has done an above average job with his defense, and preparing his team for the game. People don't like his disposition, so they'll hate on him. But, red balls has run a predictable, underachieving offense all season. He needs to go.
Okay, how would Donovan McNabb have done back there today, you ing bigot?
Anyone that doesn't think that Romo choked is just a blind Romo lover. They could have still been in the game if it wasn't his fumbles and the INT.
They are the 2nd ranked offense in the league. Garrett didn't call a poor game.
They are second in yards. They are in the high teens/early twenties when it comes to points ( a better measure of offense). The guy calls the same play 4 times in a row inside the one. His only plays for TC are in the razor back formation. He calls plays for Barber on the outside, when he clearly lacks speed. Delayed handoff after delayed handoff. Dude is predictable.
Yet they win 11 games in the regular season and are still second in the nfl in yards. They are not underachieving, they are playing up to their talent. They just don't have championship talent on the team.
Garrett is a hot-cold kinda guy. He calls a great game in between the redzones, and practically looks like a genius. Outside of that he's looked completely incompetent at times.
Please direct me to these non-championship-talent holes....
lol son thanks for proving my point about your racism
why do you bring up a black QB? .. son this is about Romo and his failures. you don't see Manning, Brees, Brett, etc. failing like Romo.
