That was the margin with Tony on the floor. All bashing aside if the guy is going to be healthy some days and not healthy on other days he is killing any chance this team has. This team is better served to let him heal and trust the ball handling to Hill and Manu. I don't remember Duncan's game falling off anywhere near what Parker's has when he dealt with the same injury.

Duncan had A LOT of bad games with PF in 2005-2006 during the regular season..this is something that will have to be expected with Parker..it will be fine on some nights, and he's going to be bad on other nights..

We're supposed to have other options..

Yeah, you could tell a minute into the game when TP looked like he was standing in quicksand, that his pf was playing up.

Parker is not to blame here. Like Harlem said, Duncan had PF in 05-06 and looked bad.

The problems lie on two guys who were suppose to be the next best options after the big 3: RJ and Dice. They both have just been coasting through so far it's not even funny.

Provide some insight jackass explain how one player can generate such a number. No player on any side is anywhere near his negative output. Why is this guy off limits?

When it gets to crunch time, Pop needs to notice who's on the floor when the Spurs put on a run like they did tonight in the late first and second. He also needs to notice who's NOT on the floor during those times. Parker is usually in the NOT category. He definitely was tonight.

As coach Pop said, teams lose and win games, individuals don't

    look..

lets not blame it entirely on parker.. there's no doubt in my mind parker goes out there and plays hard.. there's flaws in his game.. and nobody is perfect...

at the first sign of trouble..pop should've rested parker.. now we need to win games.. so pop plays parker.. and duncan..

but it's still not too late to rest parker.. i trust hill and manu can take care of ball handling responisibilites..

now wit that said.. the beef i have is with the rest of the role players.. i just dont' think we're gelling.. this is reminding me of last year's postseason already.. it's frustrating/annoying.. and fellow spur fans.. i love you but you guys can be stubborn atimes and deny or not realize when we're doing bad..

newsflash.. we're getting our butts whipped.. we're not doing bad for a playoff spot.. but we're doing horrible for a le contention this season! horrible!

Just to follow up on this comment.

I roll the dice with TP/Hill/Mason/Manu/RJ in the playoffs as my guard/perimeter rotation players with Bogans as a defensive spacialist when an opposing perimeter player is too hot. Yes, TP is suffering from PF, Manu is recovering his explosivness and RJ still haven't figure out his role, but I am still optimistic that the time WILL come for them to gel.

I think the most glaring deficiency the Spurs have is in the paint. Please pencil for me your opinion of the 4 playoff rotational paint players? After TD, we have:

Blair: no playoff experience, undersized, still missing a lot of easy layups and dunks. Still a diamond in the rough if he stays healthy.

Dice: significant decline in physical a en, not rebounding and/or boxing out as well as I expected from him, greasy hands. Lots of experience and toughness though.

Bonner: tries hard, efficient shooter, not very good defensively. I still think it is smoking mirrors with him in the playoffs as proven ad nauseam in past years.

Ratliff: too old, good for limited/specialist role.

    Mahinmi/Hasilip: not ready.

Tonight we were manhandled in the paint by a so-so Utah team. If TD has a bad game, like tonight, this team has a glaring hole in the paint. This is the MAIN difference from previous years. In the past, the Spurs always found a pair of solid contributors to play along TD in the championships runs:

    02/03: David + Malik
    04/05: Horry + Nazr
    06/07: Oberto + Horry
    09/10: ??

This is the main issue IMHO.

BTW, regarding the thread, Parker is not to blame on this game. ALL players have up and downs on any given night.

Really? a minus 26 doesn't get your atttention and is a "stupid idea"? Please refrain from telling someone to off while coming off like a huge ass-clown.

It's because, first, Parker has no blame for this, second there is no need for this to open a special thread and there are already several other threads for bashing Parker. I cant really see any other reason why you opened this thread, then to just bash Parker.

Even if he was killing any chance this time for the team, what about the recent game, when he WAS the only chance for the team?
