Prince Writes New Fight Song for the Vikings

On Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings will face the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship game. To help the Vikes in their quest for a Super Bowl, one of Minneapolis' favorite sons, Prince, has reportedly recorded a fight song for the team, the appropriately- led 'Purple and Gold.'

The Purple One penned the tune after attending last week's Cowboys-Vikings game in Minneapolis' Metrodome. According to Twin Cities station Fox 9, Prince said "I saw the future" and went home that night to write the tune. While it's not exactly 'Purple Rain,' could it be what the Vikings need to reach their first Super Bowl in over three decades or is it just another entry in a long list of forgettable jock jams?
