It's been a great run. The championships were awesome. Sadly this Spurs team doesnt have it anymore. Our two acquisitions have been in the background just taking this team for granted. Spurs fans were hoping there would be one more le this year with all the moves the FO made. This Spurs team just lacks too much intensity to be considered a championship contender. But I'm thankful for the run they have had and if they show their pride after the all-star break maybe they will have a chance but there are just too many problems. If you still believe in this year's Spurs I give you props. If the Spurs do end up winning this year, by all means pink me. I dont care. Now don't think I'm giving up on the Spurs for life. I just think the door has closed. Still a Spurs fan and the reality is that this team is part of the past.

Thanks to Tim, Manu, Tony, DRob, Bruce, Horry, Barry, Fab, Avery, Sean, Mario, SJax and Malik Rose for the le runs.

    GO SPURS GO!!!

Actually, if the Spurs' run on championships is over, I think you can peg 2007 as the end of the run, maybe 2008 since SAS at least got to the Western Conference Finals.

Getting bounced out of the first round 4-1 by Dallas is not Dynasty-defining, so I definitely wouldn't consider 2009 as part of the Spurs dynasty.

It's just like seeing an old dog die. You know it's going to happen sooner or later, but you just can't leave your old pal alone. Still, it was of a ride and I'm thankful for experiencing it

Jeff and Dice were supposed to get us over.

    Instead they've been a non-factor

Will still watch every game and root for them win or lose.

Even last year, the Spurs played with intensity and did well through stretch of games when healthy. I liked their chances last year if they were healthy. This year everyone just seems too lazy except a few.

The biggest problem with this team is they don't have enough players that excel on both ends of the court. Not enough versatility; it's essentially a bunch of specialists. You can't win that way. Overrated as I maintain they are, look at the Lakers, their best players are multi-faceted, they don't have to play ten guys and constantly sub and react to what the other team is doing as opposed to dictating and playing to their strengths. Unless this team pulls of a trade that changes this (long shot, but I'm thinking along the lines of Iguodala and Dalembert for Jefferson, Splitter, 1st round pick and other minor assets), they're not going anywhere. It's too bad, because Duncan is still good enough to lead a team to a championship.

Some of these guys are just cashing checks now. They don't have the fight in them anymore.

55% from the field for Houston. 52 points in the paint or whatever.

The Spurs are finshed as a contender.

Truthishly... I think the rockets are one big time player away. One that won't break his foot every year.

Other than that Rockets have a solid team.

Wow, a loss to Houston makes y'all break out the Paxil?

Calm down, Houston is a decent team with excellent PGs that can give alot of teams fits and it's only the first half of the season......alot can change from now until the playoffs start. By then hopefully your team will be gelled. Calm down the season is not over.

This team will never be good enough to be more than a first round playoff team at best. Accept it Pop. Time to make changes.

Houston is an above average team, like the Spurs, so none of us mean it as disrespect to Houston..

This Spurs team is just missing a lot, especially defensively..the coach has also forgotten how to do it like he used to..

I've completely lost hope for the current group of players, so hopefully they make a trade..I don't think a trade will get us a le, but it'll give us some fight and a good run to at least entertain the fans for past the 1st round IMO..I usually wouldn't think so, but the West outside of the Lakers is full of above average, inconsistent teams too..

I don't think they're going to make a trade though, and I think we'll be eliminated in the 1st round..hopefully they prove me wrong..there's no possible way they don't believe we need a trade..

Y'all never really replaced Bruce Bowen. You know Morey might be willing to part with Battier as he builds a younger roster. I'm sure for the right price he'd be willing to listen.

it's not the Rockets. Utah swept the Spurs. The Spurs are probably the worst team in keeping leads. Everyone is lazy on the team except Tim, Blair, and Hill. And the hard schedule hasnt even started that much yet. What you see is what you get with the Spurs.

I hope the FO realise that and starts NOW to rebuild and not the end of the season...
They should try to get ANYTHING for Jefferson, get rid of the expiring contratct (Mason, Fin, Bonner..) and build with TD, TP, Hill and Blair!

They have to have a lot of humility to recognize that they ed up and move forward...

I have to agree, this is the most frustrating season to watch in a long time, and it's the first time I spent mega $$$ on season tickets, so you can imagine my added frustration.

Oh by the way, get ready for a bunch of dolts to tell you that you're not "real" fans for seeing the writing on the wall.
