I totally get the complaint about corporatism/progressivism/economic nationalism. But I fail to see how "seeking new markets aggressively" falls into that. If anything, erecting trade barriers would seem to be a feature of a centrally-planned economy interested in "protecting" American economic interests.
But yes, it seems like he wants to somehow artificially boost exports as part of a larger jobs creation plan. Aside from vague promises of free trade agreements and special tax treatment for companies keeping jobs in America, it's not at all clear what he means to do with this 5-year plan. That's an incredible goal.
