1-99: Who's the greatest?

I have wanted to try this here for at least a couple of years, and I think we are at the perfect time of year to give this a shot. We have some very knowledgeable posters that pimp teams from all over the place in this subforum - I never thought I'd meet people with good takes that back Boise and Utah for an example - and I want to see who you think the best players by jersey number are in college football in the last 50 years (since 1960).

Also, when we get to a number that has been used for a great player in your school's history that you think needs some recognition that the rest of us can gain a little knowledge on, make an introduction and tell us why. I am 32 years old so most of mine will come from '90 or later, but that's when I expect some diehards and guys with a little more wear on their tires to come state their case.
