Duncan settles for a bank shot and misses, Manu launches a horrible 3-pointer, Tony misses a contested J..horrible shots..

Manu turns it over, Duncan has a jump ball forced on him..horrible execution..

Andre Miller drives and we have 3 ING GUYS going to stop him, Manu went to block him for some reason and left his man, so they obviously have a wide open man for the dagger..3 GUYS WENT TO ANDRE MILLER ON THE DRIVE!..

It doesn't help that one of the biggest chokers in the NBA, Lamarcus Aldridge, a guy that shoots 12% on jump shots in clutch time, makes 2 contested jump shots in clutch time against the Spurs..

This team is really soft and they take horrible shot attempts in clutch time..they also clearly make huge mental mistakes..these aren't the Spurs that we're used to, I don't know what has happened to them in this regard..

This team really needs a spark from somewhere..

BTW, this game shouldn't even have came down to clutch time, so it's irrelevant anyways..when you have a 10-point lead to start the 4th, you can't blow it..

This team has bigger problems than clutch time..

That's been the story all this year. They go cold down the stretch. They aren't finishing games this year. Like I said before you wonder if they can break that habit. If they can't turn that around soon it will be a cancer to the team going into the playoffs. If we even make it there....

It starts with Tim. His play in the last 3 minutes of games this season has been absolutely ghostly. It's like he's not even in the game.

I don't even recognize this team anymore.

It's like every team we play waits for the last 6 minutes of the game to start beating us up because they think we're old, mentally weak, won't find ways to put points on the board, and panic on the defensive side...while the other team is young, athletic, and don't care about our championship pedigree.

I know our team is still better than 85% of the teams out there, and we've been ing a lot recently, but there comes a point when what the Spurs were is no longer who they are...watching the Celtics/Lakers game, I don't think we can hang in a 7 game series with either because they are just tougher. We lack toughness.

    Clutch time shooting this season..

    Duncan: 38%..
    Manu: 38%..
    Parker: 41%..

    just last year..

    Duncan: 49%..
    Manu: 46%..
    Parker: 52%..

these are 3 guys that are some of the clutchest players you'll ever find..I don't know what has happened to them this season..

It will be over when we decide to admit this team is done and take our chances with the lottery balls...if only...

if you think tim duncan has been nothing in crunch time, then you dont really understand basketball. remember when he blocked terry's shot? more importantly, he is nearly flawless on the defensive end in the fourth, hasnt missed his FTs in the fourth, and rebounds at an incredible rate. he consistently takes over the game when he needs to. you are an idiot for thinking otherwise. i hope your children are taken away from you, that they may be not cursed with the vile spell of stupidity that is upon your head.
    you.

You must be watching highlights from the 2003 and 2005 Championship DVD's...he has missed plenty of clutch free throws in the fourth this year.

I had a bad feeling when Tim poked the ball loose from Aldridge, it lands right in Miller's hands. he proceeds to drive aimlessly into Timmy and banks in a reverse no look and 1. right there I was like "yea, pretty much"

Pop really needs to dust off his " this Spurs team is not the Spurs team that won its last championship" speech he gave a couple of seasons ago. Maybe enough sportswriters will pay attention and stop extolling the Spurs defensive prowess w/c is now more myth than reality. Maybe the new guys on the team will wake up and give up any sense of en lement they may have had when they signed.. the only way they'll earn a ring with the Spurs is if they step up and contribute.. they can't rely on the Big 3 to get it done w/c was why they were hired in the first place. But now, when I hear people calling the Spurs a defensive team, I just shake my head.

Yeah, something is bugging TD. Definitely. And what happened to his jumpshot? Why force the issue in the paint? I hope it isn't an ego thing because he feels he has to get the better of an older and slower Juwan Howard? Probably not, we all know TD is the ego-less superstar. My guess is he's not 100% physically.
