IF pop plays him again...
4-8 from 3pt, 4 assists, 2 steals, only one turnover, and 14 points. Hopefully, he can keep this going after the break.
IF pop plays him again...
His defense was excellent as well. Now it's time to let him find a rhythm by playing him consistently. Who knows if this was just emergency backup point guard duty, though.
Mason seems to play really well with G Hill, if he played like that every night. The spurs are a tough team to beat.
Odds are that Pop addressed the team and told them they all had a clean slate starting tonight, because that's the way they played.
Indeed he was. Hopefully this makes him more attractive from a trade standpoint.
The reason the Spurs have not been consistent is because the rotation has not been consistent. Hopefully that changes after the break.
I liked his game tonight. He was putting out the energy and hitting some shots. I love/hate his quick release shot when he gets his man rubbed off the screen. It is quick as and hopefully even more consistent if he gets more PT.
I still cringe whenever he drives to the basket, but other than that he looked better last night than he has most of the season.
I think Pop read the team the Riot Act and I also think the Nuggets were playing a "who cares" game.
This guy is cold-blooded, he won key games last year for us (key last second shots, esp vs. Lakers) and needs more playing time to bring about his game. He need to build his confidence going into the playoffs, and not run point. I think that's why he was inconsistent last year in the playoffs
