I'm guesing we're gonna see him in the 4th. I guy his age doesn't respond well to lots of minutes in high al ude.

good question, If we make it to round 2, he should see more time, especially after that against Phoenix and their lackluster defence
Actually, the spurs are in the queens-sonics
Robinson will probably only see time if we are down by 10-20 points in the second half and desperate for offense. In games where we are ahead, or it is close, defense will be given priority.
I was wondering the same thing, Big Dog would have been useful in our 3rd quarter meltdown...
Because Glen Robionson isn't good enough to make the team's main rotation. He's there to play in blowouts, to sub when there's foul trouble, and in case of injuries. There's no way I want him playing over Ginobili, Barry, or Bowen right now. The only team I can see him getting much run against is the Sonics in a possible matchup.
The rotations will shorten in the playoffs.
Pop will use him "as needed."
He just hasn't been around long enough to learn the plays. Glen will only be used if there is an injury or some other people are playing terrible. I think he is mainly just insurance, but who knows he could come up big at some point.
GROB will come out big in one game or two to win playoffs game
yeah i forgot about him too, be we sure couldve used him.
he was not needed tonight....just like Barry
it was a great that the Spurs didnt need to count on either one of those to two guys
Glenn will have his chance to make a difference
But in the close playoff games...defense will make the difference, and Glenn was brought in to help on the offensive end
It makes thing's easier for Mark Stein when he's writing a playoff matchup article:
"Denver is on a tear going into the playoffs, but what they have in youth and athleticism, they lack in veteran leadership. The addition of Glenn Robinson, a career 20-point scorer and a 12-year veteran, further improved the Spurs' already vaunted veteran core."
I think the Big Dog will see alot of minutes in game 4. I think Denver relied too much on being at home to get them through this game, so I think Denver will make it an emphasis to shut down the driving lanes and REALLY clog the paint in game 4. That should make 3pt and mid-range shooting a MUST for the Spurs in game 4. That's how I see Big Dog getting his minutes in the next game. That's just my opiniion.
If Pop when shooters go, so was CIA.why is big dog on the playoff roster if he does not play?
I would use him against a team like the Sonics or Suns. We are going to need those jumpers. His jumpers are awesome, they are so pure and its fun to watch him shoot them.
I'd say they're keeping him reserved incase of injury to a key player.
Even though he should still get some play time to get in the groove of the playoffs, but it's all good
If the Nuggets want to brawl, let the BIG DOG loose!!!
Because it's gonna take a Tim Duncan in '03-esque "hey Pop, quit being a dumbass and play him" moment before he sees some run
Big Dawg is a weapon Pop didn't need to use last night the way Denver was playing us straight up...Denver has their back to the wall and Karl is gonna have to make some adjustments Monday...If Denver zones up effectively expect to see the Big Dawg off his leash posting on the perimeter with that sweet jumper and creating seams for other players...
Because he plays Zero defense.
But, thats ok, if it was up to aggie, Mello or Demar could score 50 in a row, and Robinson brick a couple a couple shots and have no points but,
"Hes out there"
Asswhipes.
The Big Dog will have his day.
Zero defense?Spoken like a true Poplover. Earlier this month when he was getting run, he was forcing turnovers, making steals, altering shots, you name it.
But keep touting the company line, the few times you can pry your mouth away from Pop's it's the only thing you're good at spouting.
You don't need a great defender out there when you have offensive non-en ies Greg Buckner and Dermarr Johnson on the floor.
