So is this what we're gonna do? Since Barea sucks so bad, just stop playing him and instead give Kidd and Butler 40+ minutes every night? So that they're burnt out completely come playoff time?

How about this, Prick Carlisle -

    PLAY BEAUBOIS YOU ING MORON.

Yeah, this doesn't really make much sense. You need a back-up athletic PG like we need a lengthy, athletic back-up big man. Unfortunately, both of our respective (potential) problem solvers are stuck to the bench. And, , yours has actually shown more than ours and he's STILL glued to the seat.

    Maybe it's a French thing.

Beating a Wade-less Heat team doesn't mean anything. This is a game they were supposed to win.

Forcing old ass Jason Kidd to play 40+ minutes every night in order to get these wins is a bigger issue.

Beating the heat in February doesn't mean . When Kidd is ing exhausted in April, thats when playing 40+ minutes a game is going to us. The man turns 37 next month.

At least Carlisle is keeping Barea's minutes to a minimum. It still doesn't excuse the fact that playing Kidd even more is the wrong answer and Carlisle knows it. I don't know what his problem is, other than being re ed.

I hafta assume there's something larger than a coach's ego standing in the way of his (and Ian's, for that matter) playing time. Maybe they're not showing enough in practice. Maybe they're slooooooooowly grooming them into their back-up roles.

Then again, maybe (P)rick and Po(o)p are both stubborn blowhards.

Beaubois is not ready to be a Mav. His rookie mistakes like driving to the basket and consistently hitting three-pointers are not welcome to our bench players. Maybe in a couple more years we can move him into JJs role, with JJ of course taking Kidds spot.

In fact Kidd has been used this way since the same time last season, but I don't see any discomfort doing this shown by Kidd himself. I only want more Rodrígue Beaubois minutes because he needs the playing time to grow up, and he's better to grow faster than slower since his teammates are generally on slumping mode.

there has to be reasons for each and every decision the coach makes. As much as I hate the managers and coaches, I do have to admit they know the team much better than fans do, hence I don't consider it a proper behavior to impeach the guys in charge on our tunnel views. What we know about the locker room is just a tip of the whole iceberg the coach handily knows and controls. It doesn't matter to criticize their roster operations in a market view, but we never know better than they do what exactly happens or how things take place in locker rooms.

Ricky C has been known to have player grudges... Had one with Jon Barry in the playoffs against the Nets in the conference finals. Probably cost the Pistons any shot at the Finals that season (and sealed the sweep for NJ). Has BEAUBOIS done anything to deserve his scorn (like not playing defense, or taking unnecessary 3's?)

He has one bad turnover/pass etc and he gets benched for 10 games. Didn't he get benched after his career night?

Hes made mistakes on defense, like getting in foul trouble and not rotating correctly, but all of his mistakes don't even compare to JJB's.

Not to mention he is a rookie while JJ makes the same mistakes and he actually has NBA experience.

yep. Rick comes out and announces that Roddy is the backup pg and Roddy responds with a career high and 10 4th quarter points. The very next game Roddy comes in and picks up two quick fouls. Hes never seen the floor since.

TOs are just a tuition Rookies generally need to grow maturer, which can also be regarded as an investment for the future. If a game went under an absolute control by the Mavs team, I believe Carlisle would also be glad to play him some minutes. Beaubois also gets some minutes in a converse situation when the Mavs are totally under siege and all those solid-used veterans are out of form, then Beaubois gets subs uted to catalyze some changes. But neither of them happens enough during a Mavs season, instead the Mavs always drag the contest to the very last minutes. It's just not a choice for Carlisle whether or not to arrange chances for the young, he just often has to exhaust vets even when he also wants to play the youngsters.

He wouldn't even do that. He had the 3rd string center in before Beaubois. I was so pissed that despite us being blown out, Carlisle wouldn't play Beaubois. ing bull .
