That is a very cheap shot by Melo. Classless! I hope he will be suspended. But, I don't think he will. No matter what happens, the Spurs will take Game 4 anyway.

I don't think he'll even get fined. Karl made it sound like his players were the victims and Ginobili was doing something wrong or dirty. If it were up to me Anthony would be fined and Buckner and Martin would be suspended. All three of them converged on him. Buckner already has a flagrant 1 and should have been given a technical for that elbow he threw.
The problem with bush league teams like the Nuggets and the Mavericks is they can't separate physical from dirty. They think cheap shots make you physical, but they just make you cheap.
If you get a flagrant type 2 ejection, you've got a fine coming.
I'd suspend him. And it's not because i'm a Spurs fan. When you take 'Melo's play, and couple it with Karl's pussy ass comments, you've got to send a message to Denver that you're not going to tolerate that in game 4.
I think, whether Melo is suspended or not, the Nuggets are going to amp up their physical play on Monday night. They did that last year against Minnesota; when the T'Wolves countered with their mouths, Game 4 became a near brawl. I recall, in 1999, that the T'Wolves pulled a bunch of that crap either at the end of Game 3 or in Game 4. It's what you'd expect from a young team that is now fighting for its life.
As for Melo, I'd rather he not be suspended. I'm glad that Manu took the high road on this issue, though -- not that it would ever happen, but I got to wondering last night what the reaction would have been had the situation been reversed. I'm skeptical about the Spurs getting the same pass.
If a Spur player had thrown a stupid cheap ass flagrant 2 frustration foul in a game that was apparently already lost he wouldn't have to worry whether or not he was gonna get suspended...he would have been sitting on a pillow on the bench the next game recovering from Popovich's ass chewing...
