If you're not listening to Hardcore Sports, you're missing out on a classic confrontation between Harris and a City Councilman about the Council's lack of "balls" to bring a NFL franchise to San Antonio.

    Score one for the Council.

Yeah, I heard it too. The councilman held his own.

IMHO, I don't think that SA can support a NFL franchise.

I have to say that I really like the new format.

San Antonio COULD support pro football.

Jerry Jones and the Texans owner would not support it cause that would take from there fanbase.

Plus the fact that the management of the city of San Antonio from the Mayor to City Council to COPS
to whoever other organization that hates Wal Mart to hating a new Park being made because it would knock down some ancient Chalupa stand that Pancho Villa ate at or whatever.

The Texans don't give a rats ass about the San Antonio area. You're right about Jerrah Jones though. Dude sees SA as a southern suburb of Dallas. Hey wouldn't want another team in his "market".

IF you have listened to the Bros. for a while, you know.
They will get off topic with the best of them.

I think STSA had a little too much off topic segments, and they want to pull back from that just a hair, hence the sports 100%.

Don't be surprised if you see this lighten up within the next 2 weeks.

San Antonio would have to build a new stadium for a football team.

This town couldnt support an NFL team.

    I disagree Das.

I think the Alamodome could be renovated and used as a new stadium.

Did Minnesota agree to build the Vikings a stadium yet?

    nope...no way

    one big reason...

    GRASS

    secondtoo smallreason...

The design of the Alamodome has the roof supported independently of the walls from the big pylons...

Even if the size/luxury box arrangement was approved (and it wouldn't be) a retractable roof would have to be mounted on the "walls" of the Alamodome...and they weren't designed to hold the weight.

to work for a 2004 NBA stadium it would have to be razed to the ground and rebuilt.

    one major differnence TPark....

    Minnesota already has a team.

San Antonio doesnt... the Alamodome wouldnt be a big enough reason for a team to want to move here. Ever.

There are nowhere near enough luxury suites to start with and nobody likes to play in a dome.

The Henrydome is our big waste of space and money.
