I don't care how many layups he blows, he is far and away the best one on one defender we have on the team, one of the reasons the Mavs were in the top 5-10 of defensive efficency before they gave up those big scoring nights before ASG. And now he's doing it again, played amazing against Vince, Kobe, now Peja. He runs the floor and gets easy baskets that this team never got. I can more than live with his blown layups, he is fullfilling his role in dallas very well.
i wont say hes far and away the best one on one defender we have. his lateral quickness definitely isnt as good as Butler or Stevenson. but hes the best all around defender definitely, and he gives opponent different looks than what most people are accustomed to, because of his long arms especially. but im with you, i have been very pleased overall with Marion

No, it was the turnovers, piss poor rebounding, and awful offense in the 3rd that got them back in the game.
Okafor was all over the boards, getting them second and third chances, allowing them to get into a rhythm.
But Barea had some absolutely ty defense against Collison. Kidd mainly had problems when picks were set on him, but there were at least 3 or 4 times that Collison tried driving right at Kidd and he either got blocked, or Kidd stole the ball.
