I hope Cisse has a good WC.
IIRC, he broke his leg (ugly) before Germany 2006 and missed it.

Too bad that 5 of the 6 defenders you named are central defenders.
We have nothing on the wings.
Zanetti is like 35 years old, and he is still the best "4" Argentina has? Lame. Clemente Rodriguez could be the "3". I know he is not an elite player, but he is serviceable.

    I´d go with a 4-4-2:

    Romero
    Zanetti Demichelis Samuel C.Rodriguez
    Veron Mascherano Gutierrez Tevez
    Higuain Messi

That's why I think we should play with 3 on the defensive line.

Cisse was on the 2002 WC roster, but he missed the euro 2004 (suspension), 2006 WC (injury) and euro 2008.

He won the "best player of America" award last season. He's playing really well.

He is still playing at a high level. Best midfielder we have, along with Mascherano.
He is playing for Estudiantes de la Plata in our league, one of the best teams in America, and he is the leader and best player.
He is currently untouchable in the NT.

^i know there's no chance he'll be on the roster, it's just a homer pick.

It looks like ciani will start against spain. Hope he'll be at the WC

    Argentina 1 (Higuain ) - Germany 0

Painful to watch, thank god we have some what decent players 'cause Maradona is awful. And Germany... I don't know what to say, they suck more than us and that's a hard thing to acomplish.

Hitzfeld thinks Uruguay has the potential to play the final !

You really think so? I think Argentina played a good game from a tactical point of view. They were pressing and successfully trying to disrupt the German game. Since you're Argentinian, you certainly have seen a lot more games under Maradona than I have, but today he didn't look like a bad coach to me.

As for Germany, they were pretty bad. Ballack just isn't a world class player and he was nonexistent like RJ has been for most of the season; and if Cacau is your best striker, you're in trouble.

That's nice and all, but he's way too defensive. We have some of the best offensive players in the world and he only cares about keeping our goal unbeaten. On offense he just hopes for some of our players to pull a big play out of nowhere, there's no team play.
