Better renew the talks.

only a couple of questions:
These might be your last games for San Antonio. ¿How would you like to finish this stage (of your career)?
-That I dont renew now doesnt mean I wont sign here in July .. Its another team that might be interested. But I dont even consider it the end of a stage. I go into every game with the intention of winning and playing my best. If its my last season here, I'll find out later. It doesnt help me any to think of that.
-¿Your recent performances should weigh on the teams decision?
-Maybe. We havent spoken about it. They were waiting for me to show I can still play. That Im healthy. I think they see Im healthy from my last performances. Maybe they renew the extension talks, maybe they wait till July...
Better renew the talks.
i would be devastated if manu did not come back next season as a spur.
One thing that I've noticed - it is the Argentine press that keeps bringing this up.
I know there were some comments earlier this season that Manu needed to stop complaining about not getting the extension / threatening to leave / negotiating in public.
But everything I've read so far show his statements are always in response to a reporter's question. Given how candid he and Parker are in their answers to other questions, should we really expect anything different when it come to contract status?
Still unclear as to why you haven't "lower-case spurs fan"d your, um, le thingie.
And, yes, as would I.
Needless to say, I would instantly commit Seppuku
Hes staying. whether we open discussions now or in the summer. he will be a spurs forever.
maybe he goes to NY with lebron.
As long as he stays healthy and doesn't play for Argentina, it should be a no-brainer to have him as a Spurs for the next few years. Of all the players, he's the guy that finds chemistry quickly. He can work with Blair, RJ, Hill, etc much better than anyone else.
New day, new at ude, new quote.
It seemed as recently as a month ago that Manu had been more pessimistic about his chances to stay with the team and more open to the idea of playing elsewhere. Now, with him healthy and productive, it appears his at ude has changed slightly.
This is good news for Spurs FO and fans. Manu is clearly the best option at SG for the Spurs this off-season.
Having said that, I'm not convinced that tomorrow will be the same as today. It could be a new day, new at ude, new quote.
^I'm still not so sure about that. Manu's probably being tired of being asked and giving the usual response of yeah I could possibly stay. He still seems to look pretty frustrated out there. I'm still not so sure Manu stays if some other le contender throws something out there for him to take.
He's getting better, but he's still getting older. He could still decline next year even without injuries as a natural factor from aging. Hopefully he doesn't decline much - that's the key.
Playing for NT? Low ball offer.
Not going to play for NT? Give him his contract.
Talk now before it is too late

I might consider rooting for whatever team Manu goes to until Pop gets fired, retires or dies.
If he ever plays for the Lakers, I'm never going to watch the NBA until he retires.
if he came back making 20 million a year would you be thrilled?
Too long.
2 years 16mil, 3rd year partially guaranteed as a sweetener.
Manu won't settle for anything less than (at least) a three year contract IMO.
That is ugly as sin!
They better re-sign him if they are concerned with the fanbase that they might lose.
He may suck in the regular season but he will deliver in the playoffs for sure.
