Denver is calling this a must-win game. The Spurs need this win if they hope to close them out of Wednesday. Can the Spurs do it?
Discuss.

To put in terms that most people were understand:
THE NUGGETS WILL GET OWNED
The Nuggets will be so focused on Ginobili, that Tim & Tony will destroy them. Also look for Big Dog in this one.
Did you just hear Kenny the Jet and Charles Barkley giving Manu props? They played the baby crying tape while discussing George Karl's remarks. Kenny said that Manu plays the game the way it should be played, and if that's the wave of the future as Karl says, that would be a good thing. Awesome.
Kenny and Charles be my HOME BOYZ!
Charles said, "San Antonio will win tonight and wind it up Wed. night". Charles knows basketball!
that baby crying bit was great![]()
well charles was right in 03 lets hope he is again![]()

I too think Denver is going to be too keen on stopping Ginobili that they will forget about TP and Duncan. Remember, they are only covering Duncan with one guy. His shots just didn't fall last game, and if those shots go in this game, Denver could be in deep crap. TP should have a good game, because he's been a no show so far.
I'm looking for us to win tonight and send a message to the Thuggets that this series is over. This game should actually be a must win for us if we aspire to be champions. A real champion steps on the compe ion's throat when they're down and the Thuggets are definitely down. If we want this to be a short series, we have to effectively end it tonight.
So far, this series is mirroring the series we had against the Suns in '03. We won it all that year but we were still very up-and-down in terms of closing out series. In that series, we let the Suns back into it in game 4 and had to close them out on the road. I want to see if we have the resolve this year to kick the opponent when they're down. That's the sign of a true champion.
TP and TD will rock early. When they adjust on D to compensate, Manu and Brent Barry will light them up. I also look for Bruce Bowen to have a relatively big game offensively. Carmelo will be otherwise occupied. Denver will lose confidence early, and they'll never work up the emotion for more flagrants and ejections.
The Spurs won't just win, they'll crush them.
PS My two-year old is sick, so I won't be able to do play-by-play tonight. I hope someone will jump in like I did last time; I think we have a lot of folks overseas who wont' get to see this one.
GO SPURS GO!!!
my pre-approved game prediction:
Really, it will come down to experience and, essentially, the veterans on the team. Denver lacks them. They Spurs don't. When the game gets emotionally charged, is when the weaker team revs up so high that they blow their clutch. The Nuggets don't have any mature veterans to steady the team or provide real leadership. They'll work off emotion and the crowd in the first quarter, jumping to a solid lead of maybe 9-12 points. This lead will send at least a few people into a mode of panic. But they'll run out of gas, and the Spurs will have a small, but respectable lead at the half. Maybe 5-6 points.
They'll both be about the same starting the 3rd, but one or two solid buckets by Manu and Horry will spark the big run to about halfway into the third. By the end of the 3rd quarter, the Nuggets will start letting their emotions get to them, turning the 4th into a sloppy foul-fest. They'll try to make one last run, but it will be too little too late. Spurs by 14-15. Small enough to let you know it was a game, but large enough to let you know IT'S OVER.
Take care of the little one. Kind of you to think about the fellow spurs fans who cant watch the game. Maybe Solid D is around he does some great play by play too.
solid D does do great play by play.
Question: Anyone think that if the Spurs lose this one...Nuggets, especially Karl, will believe that their flagarant fouls and negative press conferences/mind games worked?
