    San Antonio Spurs 84, Orlando Magic 110

    Although it has been over a year since the San Antonio Spurs faced the Orlando Magic, tonight’s game picked up right where the ‘08-09 regular season series left off. After playing a compe ive first quarter, the Spurs failed to challenge the Walt Disney Co. Magicians for the remainder of the game’s 36 minutes, and lost in Orlando 110-84.

    Although the Spurs did not exactly shoot the lights out this evening (Duncan, McDyess and Hill combined for 3-19 from the floor), this game was lost on the defensive end of the floor.
    I agree with this. Missing shots was not the whole story. I went back and looked at the game again. The Spurs were terrible with rotation defense and were confused on how to guard the top of the key pick and roll. They often found themselves with mismatches in the paint.

    The matchup is terrible with the Spurs. Most of the team had a terrible shooting night, if we shot better then its at least kind of close. Lets just hope that if we get to the finals (lol) then I hope we aren't playing the Magic.
