"Center. As in Pepsi. Maybe it should be called Pepsi Alley. Pepsi Gulch. Something dangerous. Because it will be basketball's version of nails on a blackboard. Amplified. The Nuggets have lost one game under George Karl at the Pepsi Center. That won't happen again. "

He was right: he Nuggets wouldn't lose one game at Pepsi Whatever; they would lose 2.

He's also right inasmuch as the Nuggets will likely never have another run like that one while they're in Pepsi Center, with its Pepsi-colored seats and cursing denizens!!

Sans mustache, Bernie actually is the inspiration for "Trevor" on the Tracey Ullman Show.

Myopic homer. And he has a beef with Manu because he didn't sign with the Thuggets last summer.

The date at the top suggests he wrote it before Game 1.

I've read a lot of opponents' home newspaper articles in a variety of playoff series over the years, and I would have to say that Kiszla and Lincicome are tied for most inarticulate and ignorant among columnists covering the NBA.

His take in today's paper regarding Bowen may be worse than his take on Ginobili. is wrong with this guy.

And to accuse Spurs cipher Bruce Bowen of even underhanded competence elevates Bowen from nobody to curiosity. Heretofore Bowen has contradicted both halves of the term "journeyman" in a career that has gained less attention than lunch.

So, to suggest that Bowen stopped the local darling, Carmelo Anthony, by grabbing and groping and generally getting away with bedlam to Melo's body, is to raise Bowen to the same status as Anthony, rather like linking Booth with Lincoln.

I still say the guy must cover hockey normally and because of the strike is just doing stupid basketball takes between emptying trash cans, mopping the floor, and sharpening pencils.

let's see....he put "darling", "grabbing" and "groping" in the same sentence with Carmelo Anthony. Yep....he's a pole smoker.

I dunno. Fran Blinebury from the Houston Chronic is pretty awful and homer-fied.

hey it worked last time. Everybody sent him an e-mail about Manu being an All Star and he ended up under pressure from everyone and had to write a better article about Manu (even though it sucked too).
