Bonner provided a sorely needed spark off the bench. He shot great from the field (just one away from 50% FG), and he showed consistency with that little runner in the lane.

Agreed. Dare I say it, Bonner could very well become a serious threat all over the court if his dribble penetration proves to be consistent. If he can keep up the good shooting% in the paint, he could be a hard cover for any team.

I figure he gets hammered all the time on spurstalk, so might as well give him credit when it is due.

Agreed. His shots were always extremely timely, and he didn't make any stupid mistakes.

I'm starting to believe in that awkward-as- baby hook too lol. That is deadly these days.

Now, I'm not saying he's going to be immune to criticism later on or anything, I'm just saying he played well this game and this is somewhat of a rarity for him.

Bonner could become the next Larry Bird. All he need to do is improve his rebounding and passing.

    1 away from 50%

If certain other players shoot 6/14, people get pissed.

I'm really liking Bonner as of late because he's mixed up his game. Mcdyess was accurate tonight to be sure but all of his points came off mid-range jumpers (except for one put back I believe). Bonner has a 3-point game and now amazingly has a a sort of reliable driving hook shot that he's been hitting. He defense was commendable tonight as well, and really has been for a while now. Bonner without a doubt is the second best big we have on the team. I can guarantee Mcdyess will be cold a game or two from now and he will be relatively useless but Bonner will manage a consistently decent game in both offense and defense from now on till the playoffs. Let us hope he can carry that into the post season as well.
