Anyone have any updates on this story?
Thanks
Was anyone else listening to this story on 760 just now. Seems that Malik had his 99 and 03 Championship Rings stolen from his house in New York. At least I think it was New York. I just caught the tail end of so I could be wrong on that aspect. But apparently he was robbed and the Rings were stolen along with a necklace.
Anyone have any updates on this story?
Thanks
I believe they said it was from his home here in San Antonio. But I don't know any details about it.
Who cares? They took the man's heart away in February.
I heard they have a suspect already, they are questioning Karl Malone![]()
I already bought the 2003 one from eBay and will be wearing it to the game tonight.

how hard is it to find a ring with a huge * on it?
Y eah ok mouse at least it wasn't just a banner. LOL.
damm pop sure is mad at rose
If they are smart, they will sell them back to Rose.
it's cool, he'll get another one this year
Bruce Bowen was also robbed
Was that a bad joke?
Pretty sure it was.
He wasn't robbed. The items were stolen from his house. I heard about this last night at work when the call came out to his house.
So he was burglarized not robbed -- is that what you are saying, Z?
No, a good joke.
He was robbed of the Defensive player of the year!
Don't you get it?
not good?![]()
Malik's NBA Championship Rings Stolen
LAST UPDATE: 5/4/2005 3:39:37 PM

New York Knicks forward Malik Rose reported to San Antonio police today that thieves stole $220,000 worth of jewelry out of his home when he was out of town late last week...including the 1999 and 2003 NBA championship rings he won while a member of the San Antonio Spurs.
Also stolen from an entertainment center in Rose's home in the exclusive Greystone subdivision in farm north San Antonio are a diamond chain valued at $110,000, a $50,000 bracelet, and a $40,000 Jacobs and Company diamond watch.
"Doing detective work in the past, I can tell you that this isn't a very hard case to identify what was taken," police sergeant Gabe Trevino told 1200 WOAI news.
Detectives say several contractors were in Rose's home doing remodeling work while the player was in New York last week, and they're currently focusing their investigation on them. Trevino said there was no sign of forced entry.
The NBA championship rings, which are valued at $10,000 apiece, have the word "Rose" written in diamonds on the side.
"If somebody tries to pawn them or sell them, it will obviously raise a red flag," Trevino said. "That's what we would hope, but we obviously don't deal with the smartest criminals out there."
Rose told police he has left a message with the contractor telling them that the property was missing and he was calling police.
The thieves were apparently not interested in the championship ring Rose won while at Drexel University in his hometown of Philadelphia, it was still in its box, untouched.

Nope. Not even burglarized. He had some carpet installers at his house (while he was in NY and his girlfriend was there)...and it appears this is how they got the rings.
Yeah I got it. I just thought it was in poor taste for this thread. Sorry.

That sucks. Those contractors are screwed.
some people are just too dumb to live. Like they thought they could get away with it?
sucks if they already broke them apart for the diamonds though. Hopefully the Spurs will replace them for Malik. He certainly won't get a chance to win any more in New York...![]()
I think it really is Karl Malone....
