Tell us something we all don't already know........Despite the loss today, the Lakers are still the top team in the West. I don't think anyone would argue w/you.....even some of my fellow giddy Spurs fans.

Sure there is. It will be fun to see how far your team can get. If the Spurs go one and done don't expect to see Manu back because he won't be paid if the Spurs don't think they can win a championship. A loss in the first round starts rebuilding mode for the Spurs.
If I were a Laker fan, I would be utterly worried. If the Lakers don't win a championship, then what? The way Kobe is playing, he's just going to get worse. He's nothing more than a volume shooter who misses a lot of shots. I'd take Joe Jonson over Kobe anytime of the day
Of course the Lakers are the favorite now but the result cannot be so sure until the game is done. A superb roster dosen't always grant wins, especially considering the Lakers have been the targeted enemy for other candidates that are prepared and keen to give the Lakers as much trouble as they can if/when fighting them.
It's funny how haters try to take away from the lakers saying how the other teams were injured.They make excuses for the lakers success. will they say "o the lakers were too banged up and injured this season" if cavs win the le ? Did they say "Andrew was injured and the out come would have been different if he was healthy" when Boston won? Nope only for the lakers they make excuses.
This would be much a much greater advantage 10 years ago. Now it's nice, but far from decisive.
