In ... And Nobody Asked You, Either He puts Manu as the player he thinks can be injured but still help his team the most

Happy to get so many responses to last week's questionfrom Patrick Bray. If you remember, Patrick asked, if you could choose anyone in the league, who would you choose to:
    1) Take the final shot to win a game
    2) Defend that player on the final shot
    3) Run the pick and roll (players have to be on the same team)
    4) Come over helpside for a block
    5) Kick out a wide open 3 to
    6) Post up in clutch time
    7) Defend that player in the post
    8) Beat their player off the dribble
    9) Be injured but still help his team the most
    10) Draw up a play for the final shot (Coach)
    My answers were::
    1) Kobe Bryant.
    2) A healthy Tayshaun Prince, or, failing that, the Bucks' Luc Mbah a Moute.
    3) Jason Kidd and Dirk Nowtizki, by a hair over Kevin Durant and Nick Collison.
    4) Josh Smith.
    5) Ray Allen.
    6) Dwight Howard.
    7) Anderson Varejao.
    8) Chris Paul.
    9) Manu Ginobili.
    10) Larry Brown.

I think "Tim Duncan" would have been a better choice than Manu for that answer.

lmao, how would Manu being injured help this team at all?
it wouldnt. it would be the opposite, it would be this teams death sentence.

He probably thought he'd sound real knowledgeable going with Durant and Collison as his pick-and-roll combination. Unfortunately for him, it made him sound less knowledgeable, since nobody in their right mind would take them over Nash and Stoudemire, Williams and Boozer, Ginobili/Parker and Duncan, etc.

Post up scorer, Howard? Really? Why do people over think and complicate things? It's still Duncan. How many times, even this season, where the Spurs needed a bucket in the 4th, threw it down to him, he made something happen and scored, oftentimes on a difficult shot? Umpteen. He's only done it for years, in many pressure packed situations and has more of a repertoire than any other player in the league, so let's take the guy who's an athlete playing basketball instead.

I take Gasol or Duncan in the post. Howard is an idiotic answer.

The question is "post up in clutch time", which automatically rules out Gasol.

I'd take Gasol on the block at the end of the game over Howard for sure, at least until Howard can get his FT% in the high 60s.

As would I, but not over Duncan. Gasol often shrinks in the clutch and shies away from contact. Plus, for all his length and mobility, he just doesn't have as vast a repertoire as Duncan.

Just look at the 4th quarter yesterday, Duncan completely overpowered him, despite the fact that he's smaller (6-11 240 vs 7-0 250, though Gasol looks to be 7-1 240), had his way with him and made every key play he had to make. In the end game, the Lakers were forced to double him.

seriously that post-up answer is beyond idiotic...howard doesnt even have post moves, dude basically relies on his god given physique and athleticism. this is almost as re ed as kenny smith saying the lakers have the best bench in the nba.

    My answers were::
    1) Manu Ginobili. I'll take Manu's creativity and ability to get to the line over K. Bryant's fadeaway jumper over two defenders.
    2) LeBron James.
    3) Nash and Amare.
    4) Marcus Camby.
    5) Ray Allen. But I'd say Brent Barry if he were still a Spur. And he would be if Pop had half a brain.
    6) Tim Duncan. Because he's been doing it for a long time now.
    7) Tim Duncan. Ditto.
    8) Tony Parker. Not even his own reflection can stay in front of TP.
    9) Tim Duncan.
    10) Larry Brown.
