............good bye
No thanks, had one good year but he just sucks.
His two break out seasons were in 07-08 with Washington and in 08-09 with the Spurs. Even though these were his two best seasons, his stats weren't spectacular.
This season, all of his averages have taken a nose dive. Yet, I don't think that it's all because of lack of playing time. Mason has played in 78 games and averaged 19 minutes a game.
This guy is good as gone.
Only team I think would be interested in signing him is Washington.
he won't get offers as good as what the Spurs gave him. but there will be quite a few teams willing to sign him for minimum to BAE money.
We missed the opportunity to trade him when his value is at the peak after hitting those winning shots.
Amazing how far he's fallen. I thought he'd be fine playing some PG after being serviceable in Washington when Arenas was out. Guess the system was just too difficult. No excuse for his defense though.
His often terrific play last season made him a great value, such that trading his modest contract wouldn't have gotten us an equal value in return. Nobody could have predicted he'd fall off a cliff as badly as he has this year.
Yet that trade was never made, meaning the FO received no interest for the package, or the Spurs didn't think potential trade partners were offering enough value in return. Does this change my point?
