I thought he was done, but that was a nice stint he did with the Wiz after OKC dumped him. That 26 games was more than he played for MIA and OKC in 2008-2009 and OKC in 2009-2010, combined. Who knows?

This guy is really interesting-- he has rehabbed that knee and looks to be ready to play for real again.
In the month of April (8 games), he started for the Wizards, averaged 36.8 minutes per game and put up great numbers: 15.5 ppg, 6.3 apg, 3.6 rpg. He shot an amazing 62.7% FG and 83.3% FT. According to 82games.com, his on court/off court # was +6.5, a great number, though the sample size is relatively small. If he'd sign for the vet minimum, the LLE, or whatever's left of the MLE after Splitter, I think he could be a steal. Nabbing an amazing playmaker and former lottery pick with a 6'11" wingspan as a backup PG could be the best sleeper move of the 2010 free agency season.

I agree that Livingston would be a nice signing. Hes got great size at 6'7 but can play the point and create offense. He'd be a nice pairing for George Hill, honestly. I guess it comes down to how much the Spurs like Garrett Temple.
Good point about the Hill pairing. You see plenty of SGs who can only defend PGs; the reverse is rare. For the minimum, I'm all for it, though I'm sure he'll want more money than that, and I'd be reluctant to burn the LLE on him.
I've always thought he was worth stealing. OKC is usually good for stealing talent (Krstic, for example) while others aren't looking. Wonder if their dropping him was a sign he has nothing left.
I have occasionally wondered if he would make a better SF/SG than PG. He would be exceedingly skilled at the position, and had (I'm not real certain after that injury rehab) the lateral quickness. He would need to add muscle (which does appear to be an ongoing process), and work a lot on his jumpshot, but he needs to do those anyway.
I can't see Livingston being a SG/SF type. Even if he does develop a jump shot, he'd need to put on at least 30 lbs (assuming his listed wt of 185 per Yahoo is correct). That's a lot of weight for someone with his frame to put on. Plus playing him at SG/SF would just be asking him to spend the majority of his time doing something other than what he's good at.
A team in need of a backup PG should give him a look, but unless Parker or Hill get traded I really don't see much of a reason for the Spurs to be interested.
I've mentioned this in a few different contexts, but the Spurs always have the option of bringing in a backup pg to play 10 mpg and allowing Hill to focus on being a sg.
Rehabbing a knee injury as horrific as Livingston's takes a long time. Livingston himself said at the end of the season that he is not 100% done with the rehab... so if what he did at the end of this season is, say, 85% of what he'll be capable of in October of this year, the Spurs might have a player that is already better than a 20th pick in this draft.
Regardless of what happens, following his story is pretty inspirational.
