I think he deserves it, maybe not first ballot hall of fame, but should be in the near future.
No doubt he's been great for past 6 years or so,but b4 that he was considered a bust and a journeyman. What do you think?
I think he deserves it, maybe not first ballot hall of fame, but should be in the near future.
Neaux IMHO
How the is this guy a HOF? Because he has a Finals MVP? No way Billups is HOF worthy. Dude got hot at the right time for one season. none of his other playoff performances were impressive.
Freaking Dennis Rodman could'nt even get in.
Conference Finals Billups sucks
I dont know why, he is great in the 1st 2 rounds, he is great in the NBA Finals, but fo some reason he sucks in Conference Finals
Unless you have a very significant college or international background I don't think Billups can get in the basketball HOF based on what he's done in his NBA career. Other than the Finals MVP he doesn't really have an elite resume. I would think you would have to have a string of All-NBA first or second teams where you were a Top 5-10 player for multiple seasons to be considered for the HOF.
I think he's similar to Tony Parker right now. Parker has rings and a Finals MVP but has never been consistently "elite" as his position. Other guys I consider borderline at best (but have a better shot than Billups) are players like Ray Allen and Paul Pierce.
Call me after Dennis Johnson gets in.
uh, Dennis Johnson is in.
If he does make it he'd probably be among the lowest tier of HoFers. I mean, I remember back when the Pistons were a mirror of the Spurs he was considered to be a top 3 PG in the league and came up big in the NBA finals, he certainly has credentials. I honestly wouldn't be surprised both if he makes it to the HoF and if he doesnt make it.
HOF? Thats reaching alot, solid career but not Hall worthy.
I've always kind of liked Billups but to say he belongs in the HOF is a bit of a stretch. At the start of his career he was pretty mediocre. Maybe because he didn't have great talent around him or whatever the case may be I don't think he's a HOF at this point.
Dennis Rodman isnt in?????
are you kidding me????
he may have been a 'freak' but this bas was a 6-8 skinny dude who DOMINATED everyone in Rebounding for years on end..in the modern era this 6-8 guy got 15-18rb per game for season for years on end...
he was the reason why the Jordan Bulls were the only team in modern history to win les without a dominant big
The fact that some people aren't in the HoF doesn't mean that they will never get in. Is Pippen in the HoF yet?
ahhh, man according to my meager knowledge about NBA, a player isn't permitted to be nominated HoF in the first 5 years from his retiring year.
I don't remember when Pippen retired.
He's going in this year.
My a Laker bro, I mean a paisan, he a so a right. Billups he not good enough for this Hall you all speak about.
Dennis Johnson getting in was a clear case of east coast bias.
I don't think there's enough east coast bias to get Billups in
