That's bull . I hate the NBA's stupid no-tolerance rules on fighting. I can't think of a single playoff suspension I have agreed with since I started watching NBA basketball.
They just mentioned it during the Magic game, decision was only made so don't think there is any articles yet
and all because that one fan had to throw a drink on Ron Artest.
They've had these no-tolerance type rules since the Knicks/Heat made brawls a yearly tradition in the late 90s.
Nah, this all started around 98 or so when the league wanted to crack down on Miami and New York. Well, the automatic suspension rules did... I guess the softening of the league really started with Stern protecting Jordan from the Pistons in the late 80s - early 90s.
well nevermind then!
in the 90's I was a kid who only interested in watching Jordan
so you guys think the Artest incident didn't take suspensions for seemingly small infractions to another level?
Yep.... ever since Alonzo used Van Gundy as a mop.
That was hilarious. I love JVG.
Could anyone imagine the 84, 86, or 87 Finals under today's rules?![]()
the only reason this suspension actually makes me happy is it makes it more likely that the series will be compe ive, and we get to watch Wade more.
! yahoo says this story was posted 4 min ago. you guys are ing fast
It's not the NBA's fault that KG is in his thirties and still can't control his emotions...especially in a playoff game.
He threw an elbow to the head during a dead ball in a crowd. He deserves the suspension.
Stern prefers the NBA to run like watching the AI play against each other in a video game. Boring, predictable, and clean.
I'm surprised he doesn't fine players every time a cuss word slips through a TV broadcast.
They almost had 2. Dwight got suspended for a similar elbow last year
