that's cruel but it's true. cp3 ain't built to attack the rim so much. deron was a safe bet and ol jerry sloan knew well. And the pick was made in spite of all these things: the fact that deron leads his team better while the jazz have not played decent d for a long time (cause the lack of good defensive pieces) and the fact that cp3 on real d ( not help and other bull that leaves your man wiiide open) is really weak and that chauncy tore him a new one. In spite of letting his team down.
Let's say it right: deron plays the right fundamental way with all the skills required and *could* go all fancy (best crossover in the nba) while paul is very flashy and risky on d & no size. Plus if you go for apg watch some jazz games and see how many times does that team make the extra pass. Imagine if the hornets played the same.
Too many well pointed reasons. If you want stats flashiness and flair it's cp3. If you want fundamental ball, good d and to WIN it's deron.
