I'm really interested to see what adjustments Carlisle will make for Game 3. I think that the Mavs may have been just a bit complacent after Game 1 while the Spurs were all business from the start and got the jump on them. Not an excuse though as the Mavs should have expected a better effort from SA. The Spurs better be prepared for a similarly strong Dallas response in game 3.

Pressure Dirk from the opening tip..can't afford to get him started and firing up his teammates. The challenge will be to do this without fouling unnecessarily and gifting him points at the FT line. Make the other Mavs carry the offense.

Which brings me to Jason Kidd. If the other Mavs are to be effective offensively, they need Kidd to do his thing. He's their facilitator and if the defense can distract him sufficiently, the Mavs offense will suffer.

For the Spurs, we can expect the Big 3 to get their usual production. So who is goibng to step up and make a difference. RJ did it in game 2. I'd love for him to put a second strong game together. But it could easily be GHill or even Blair. That's the main diffference from seasons past when the Spurs had so few options specially with Manu injured. This time around, there are a lot more arrows in Pops quiver.
