Now this is the most appropriate post game thread. No trash talk needed for this game. No whine to drink either. Props to both teams. It could have gone either way.
started thread with 4 minutes left in game - it was a fine game and Mavs lost but got my respect.
better team won.
Its going to come down to mental toughness, specially for the Mavs. After coming so close, the Spurs were able to summon up the effort to grind out an amazing victory. After taking one on the chin in game 2, the Mavs were better prepared to do battle in game 3 but this time around it was like taking a hit to the abdomen. The Mavs are shaky but still standing and expect an all-out war in game 4 driven to a degree by desperation.. they can't afford to go down 1 -3.
Spurs simply played better team ball, trusting in each other to make the right plays. The Mavs seemed to be relying a lot on individual effort.
Could have gone either way but I am glad we won. Dirk is unstoppable... but McD played him well... and Manu was awesome... how high is his bball IQ? I was impressed with the 2 delibrate fouls he caused to prevent easy points. Great game.
Props to the Spurs, but THE MAVS!
