mason's is great.
A week ago, pack-leader Popovich made an unique statement about his pack. "I think we have to have more people step up and play worth a damn, " Popovich said. ‘We had a lot of guys play like dogs."
After a disappointing loss in Game 1, the doggy treats were the least of the worries. More strict demands became apparent, and less play time was warranted for the dog's who chose to stay disobedient. The ramifications were simple, yet vital. You listen to orders and satisfy your pack-leader, the more time you get to play and the closer the pack climbs towards the ultimate reward. Simple enough...
Here's an assessment on how each member of the dog-pound has performed since the pack-leaders lashing:
- Georgie- Since the lashing, Georgie has obeyed commands and demonstrated how important his versatility is to the pack. Any command thrown his way, Georgie has given 110 percent and produced in more ways than you can imagine. Grade: A -
- Blair - having not much of an opportunity to show how much of an asset he could become to the pack the lashing wasn't warranted towards Blair. Regardless in his limited time, Blair has demonstrated the relentless aggression instilled in his heart and soul for the betterment of the pack. Which was demonstrated last night. The ferocious demeanor he possesses ignited the pack to unify as one in time of crisis. Grade: B-
- Bonner- Since the calling out, Bonner has yet to obliged to his master. Bonner's only asset has become invisible. Maybe he's scared of the spotlight or maybe he just lacks a killer instinct when it's time to kill. Regardless, he's really doing everything he can to find himself in the pound this summer looking for a new owner. With Blair becoming more obedient, less play time is likely for Bonner. At least everyone hopes. Grade: D-
- Mason- Outsiders and enemies have had a hard time feeling threatened by Mason and have continued to disrespect him in more ways than you can imagine all year long. The mutt couldn't do anything right. Whether if it's urinating or defecating on the carpet or simple just being an annoyance by wanting to runaway from the pack that has given him so much love and opportunity. Mason is more than likely going to be in a new home next year. Since the lashing, Popovich has realized Mason has used his chances and believes it's best he stays locked in his kennel. Which is a win, win for everyone.
Grade : D-
- McDyess- One of the wisest members of the pack. After the lashing, McDyess has made it a priority to defend the keep to the highest degree. His leadership on the defensive end has been a key component in the progress the pack has made as a whole. Grade : A -
- Bogans - An aggressive defender, Bogans has been the epitome of inconsistent. On one occasion he will demonstrate a fair amount of obedience, defend his keep, but not do anything else. On another occasion he won't defend his keep and will do something that's anything but impressive. Since the lashing, he's hasn't had much time to satisfy the pack-leaders demands. Which is probably a good thing since he was unable to obliged on a consistent basis all year long. He did have a quality outing last night where he demonstrated he is able to become somewhat productive.
Grade: C-
- Jefferson- The most ridiculed and scrutinized member of the pack, Jefferson has answered Popovich's call. He has become a key component for the pack's turnaround by becoming more aggressive in all phases. Grade B+
All in all, out of the pack Hill, Jefferson, Blair and McDyess will be the key components who take this pack to the ultimate pinnacle. Hopefully they can continue answering the call. One possession, one quarter, and one game at a time.
3 down...13 to go...

I'd disagree that mcdyess was included in the dogs statement after game one. Mcdyess was pretty damn good in game 1
+1. The Big 3 + McDyess were the only worthy performers game 1.
That was great. Thanks
KB is obeying the "sit" command pretty well. Hopefully that continues.

Bonner has absolutely been in this series, I'll admit it. I expected at least 1 big game from him at home. Hopefully the Red Rocket can start aiding the pack again soon.
